Stopped by after visiting sleeping bear dunes on our way to Traverse City. The tea we bought and took home was very good, a little expensive but good. We were there late spring, so there was not much to see growing outside. I would stop again if we were in the area.

We found a brochure and decided to visit on our way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The staff was helpful and friendly, but not really very knowledgeable (at least the one young lady that greeted us) about the teas, ingredients or the farm history. I wish someone had given us a tour, walked us around the farm and explained more. The tea house had a wide selection from black, green to herbal teas. I was kind of misled into thinking that I was getting a free sample - which is not the case (PS: If you like English style black tea - no milk cream or sugar at tasting. Get a green or herbal one.). I drink and buy a lot of tea, I understand the ingredients are grown locally and organic, but I just found their prices way too high - tasting as well as extremely expensive for purchase.

We visited on a cold, snowy Saturday in December and had a wonderful experience by starting with a tea tasting. It gave us the chance to sample some of their delicious products as well as learning about the growing and production of tea. We're looking forward to taking a tea education class in the spring and have become regular tea drinkers .... my favorite is the Creamy Earl Grey!

This is a great little side trip when you visit Traverse City Michigan. Learn about the teas created at the farm and get some for home. We can't wait to visit again and take our son.

When driving in and seeing the giant solar panels I knew I was going to loooooove this place!! All organic, delicious, hand picked tea. Amazing knowledgeable staff. While we were there we were lucky enough to get a chair massage! It I was awesome! The farm it's self and drive out to it are beautiful, and worth seeing!! Take time to visit this place if you like tea even a little bit, or just love to see a hardworking all organic fully self sustainable farm!!! Truly an experience!

I was contemplating the perfect place to have a 16th birthday party for my daughter, and Light of Day was it. She loves tea, so we had a tea party in the gazebo complete with a variety of finger-foods (which we brought in), and some wonderful iced tea from Light of Day. After the tea party, Angela gave us a wonderful tour of the farm. Her knowledge and passion for everything that is grown there was evident, and we all enjoyed learning from her. Our tour was followed by a Tea Cupping where we were taught how to properly slurp tea and appreciate the many subtle flavors. Angela also shared the numerous health benefits tea can provide. The Cupping was held primarily in the Yurt, then we moved to the Tea Bar to finish. Our group ranged in age from 70+ to 9 years old, and everyone really enjoyed the experience. Light of Day is a unique and very special place. Angela, thank you for helping to make my daughter's birthday exactly what I had hoped it would be. She absolutely loved it.

This was my first visit, recommended by a cousin who used their products during her chemo and radiation. The young lady helping us was so knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are beautiful - looking forward to going back and trying more.

Okay, I'm not the tea guy in the family. My wife is the expert, however, I liked this stuff and the place is cool. Angela the owner is a really neat, down to earth person with a wealth of knowledge. The place is very well maintained with gardens to stroll through and includes a yurt tent room for classes and tasting. The tea is organic, much of it is grown here, and although might seem pricey, is so good you only use a modest amount so it will go a long way. Yeah, I got a lot of information from my wife, but she knows her tea, and loves this place. Make it a stop and have a tasting; nice break from the wine abused palate of the Leelanau traveler!
