With only 2 butterflies in an area they sell butterfly plants, this is not worth a stop unless you're shopping for plants and garden accessories. Great nursery selection, especially for fountains, cute accessories and tropical plants.

This was a magical experience. If I lived in the area I would have a season pass and would visit whenever I felt stressed. I'd sit on a bench and let the flowers and butterflies surround me while listening to soothing music. Someday I'll bring my granddaughters here.

While it's not the same as a butterfly garden, the nursery has a great selection of plants and items and plenty to see. This is more of a shopping experience than an attraction in itself, but if you love gardens it's worth the visit.

I found a flyer in one of the parenting magazines for their harvest festival and fell in love with this place. First of all its beautiful! Its like going to a botanical garden. The only difference is there is much more to do here. They have a great nursery with the most beautiful plants that are half the price of what I usually pay at Home Depot, Walmart and Lowes for plants. They had hay rides! They have a great farmers market, I bought fruit, vegetables, herbs and seafood. They also sell BBQ and have outdoor seating for you to sit and enjoy your BBQ. I had a great plate of ribs with two sides for only 9 dollars, later on we had frozen apple cider. We listened to a great live band. This would be a great place to bring the family, to go on a date or to go solo. They also have a really cool large craft market. Great for a fall visit and I hear this place looks magical during the Christmas holiday.

Always liked going to this place as plants and flowers abound. My only suggestion though is for prices to be reasonable, other than that we enjoyed our time walking

We like to stop here from time to time. Great produce and some interesting offerings. They have now added a fresh fish counter. The selection was as very fresh and tasty.

Like no other garden center that I have visited. First is their huge selection of plants and trees suitable for South Florida's tropical climate. Add a huge selection of pottery at all price ranges plus knowledgable and friendly staff. Then go to the Produce building for a great selection of fresh veggies and items like Guava Jelly. And don't forget the reasonably priced bakery! A fun place to go, especially for families.

I love this place. I like to fiddle around with plants and this is where I go to find all kinds of things from plants, to fresh fruits and veggies, anything gardening, smoothies, and a farmer's market with locally grown fruits and vegetables. They also sell organic herbs and veggie plants to start your own garden. They also sell just about any kind of tree as well as a good selection of fruit trees. My favorite being the cocktail tree which grows 6 different fruits all on one tree. The people there are very knowledgable. The best time to go is in the fall when they have Fall Fest. Each weekend is a different event and is great for a family outing. They have face painting, hay rides, pumpkin painting and more for the kids. Great food too, like roasted corn on the cob, roasted sweet potatoes and all kinds of BBQ food on the weekends. They also will delivery and install your purchases for a fee. There is also gift shop for all kinds of gardening things. Go early as this place gets really packed during Fall Fest. bring sunscreen and a hat as many areas are sunny

The nursery is free entry and is probably the nicest nursery I've been to, you get to see a variety of plants and the nursery setup is well set up, there are children's activities, a small restaurant, gift shop, grocery area and as well a bbq is offered on the grounds. I enjoyed the visit here but must say don't go there just for the butterfly gardens, the area is very small and there are not many butterflies. They do hold special events at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nice place to visit, its free and you could spend a good hour or so here looking around and enjoying the grounds.

I love going to buy vines and plants, but after going to the real Butterfly World in Coral Springs, and butterfly pavilions in Costa Rica, Flamingo Nursery is really tiny and limited. Nice for a tourist that has never seen butterflies, but not a great attraction.

I tool my kids this past weekend and they had a great time.We took a hay ride, walked around and they decorated pumpkins. There are several spots perfect for fall pictures. There was a lot of people over the weekend, so I suggest to get there early (I had to park on Flamingo, cause parking lot was full).

It may be late fall but the sun is still beaming strong in South Florida. And its pumpkin carving time! At one of several fall weekend festivals at the Flamingo Road Nursery Farmers Market there are pumpkins aplenty for the kids to choose from along with hayrides, pumpkin painting, and of course a large array of regional planting every sort of and garden ornament. A fun day's outing for kids in a run up to Halloween. Light snacks and bbq available as well. Be prepared for large crowds at this normally sedate garden nursery. An enjoyable afternoon visit on a fall weekend.

If you want to see butterflies pay to go to Butterfly Gardens in Coral Springs. It's pricey, but worth it. Flamingo Road Nursery is a great place to shop, but does not need a small butterfly garden.

This is actually a commercial nursery business with a lot going on. See the website . In addition to a great nursery , and outside furniture display, There is a very nice farmers market, bakery, candy counter, specialty foods, gift shop etc. We actually did not see the butterfly pavilion. We had a terrific lunch at the deli counter, a freshly made italian, veggie type of sandwich. The eating area inside is very small and in the middle of the store. It is not a restaurant. There is however picnic tables around the building and a nice setting to enjoy lunch. For a business, you almost feel like you are walking around a garden, with all of the plants, displays, and fountains, but it is a retail store, not a attraction. There appears to be a lot of educational types of display around the grounds, so that you can make a educated purchase. We talked to the owner who was very helpful with our questions regarding the plants. You (adults) could spend a lot of time here, if landscaping and nature are your interest. I don't think children would last too long outside of the butterfly pavilion

Thousands of butterflies all around you and some land on you. Also many beautiful birds. Well worth the drive and the entry fee. Go on line and print a $3.00 off coupon.
