plainfield fishing resort

I fished catfish corner with a friend for about 7 hours...Used everything from hotdogs to night crawlers to cut bluegill. And nothing. Now usually I wouldn't blame the lake although for 7 hours none of the ppl around us caught anything! I just ended up using using my ultra light for some small bluegill. Also apparently based on others, this lake used to be much better back in the day. Oh I almost forgot! This lake is just FULL of vegetation. I expected much more.

I am a very experienced fisherman with 3 experienced kids (age 20-30). What this place advertises is absolutely NOT what you get. I have gone to many "pay to fish" locations, and there is a reason people are willing to pay - because they want to "catch fish" quickly, and often; otherwise, you could just go to a small pond, and "hope" to catch something. Great overcast weather, no dramatic barometric changes, 5 poles in the water, 5 types of bait (including the local "stink bait"), 1/2 day, and not one fish. Grounds are not too clean and bait is ridiculously priced - 6 shrimp for $3.75??? Save your time and money, because I guarantee you that no matter what local pond you go to, you will do better than this place.

My Boyfriend surprised me with a date to Plainfield Fishing resort. They have boat rentals (with motors), bait (minnows) and the lake is a good size. We had a nice day,however, we caught no fish! We didnt see many people catching fish that day. We will def try again though!
