pretty valley

On one of the days it got pretty hot and we took the drive up to Pretty valley on recommendation from our hosts in Mt Beauty. The last part of the road there is a track but in good nick. The drive is really worth it. Its another world up there and there are quuite a lot of short walks off to old cattlemans huts, look outs and open fields of flowers. Take the drive.

Just the place to take a trip on hot days. The views, cooler temperature being high up and the high alpine pastures make this a terrific family destination. Take the walk out to Tawonga Huts and see a little high country history. We were all suprised and lucky to see some brumbys run off into the snowgums. Everyone enjoyed the experience.

We drove out to pretty valley on advise from the Mt Beautty info centre. We would do it again but the road is bumpy for the last km. The scenery is straight out of parts of the "Man from snowy river". Make sure you do go to the lookout ontop of Mt McKay
