Fresh cool air. Beautiful view. Very relaxing. Maybe less than a kilometre walk BUT a lot of freaking stairs going back up.

The path to the bottom of the falls takes you past some really nice scenery and the falls look pretty amazing. The path does however feel like a thoroughfare and gets a bit busy which retracts a little from the scenery.

In comparison to the views you get in the balconies or the pinnacle it's not that impressive. The falls are nice but not more than that

Of course it's not Niagara Falls, but it is a beautiful waterfall located in remote Victoria. Be sure to bring a bottle of water when going to this waterfall as the steps are quite steep!

Definitely will recommend a visit for everyone going to the grampians. Beautiful waterfall, amazing atmosphere once you get down to the base. You can sit around at the base (plenty of space) to absorb the beautiful sight.Need to walk down quite a bit of stairs to reach the bottom, but very doable (and the effort builds up for the WOOOOAW effect when you finally reach the base!). So if you can walk, make the effort! It will be worth it.

As others have said there is a fair walk and exercise involved, some step stairs but really worth it, the path with the metal grates are really good that come off the hillside stairs. There is also a few well placed bench seats along the way to rest and catch your breath if need be.Tips, take your time there is no rush, take water and enjoy the views!

Amazing views once you get down to the actual falls. Breath taking views & very nice place to take amazing picture shots however going back to the carpark will be the hell of exercise. make sure to carry plenty of water to drink & keep your eyes on the steps.

The falls were spectacular, although it does require some effort to get to the base. We completed the walk with four children between 5 and 10 years of age. The youngest required some assistance bet the rest were fine.I would definitely recommend a visit, but be prepared for some steep stairs.

You had a bit of a walk to get to see these falls but well worth the walk. not a strenuous walk. Not for wheelchairs though.

The biggest and nicest waterfall I've seen in Victoria. Is there a bigger one? The climb down can be steep and so climbing back up can be very hard for some, but well worth the effort. You can take a walk down the stream as well.

Although the bush and infrastructure are still recovering from the major bush-fires last January, this was well worth visiting. Be careful which walking track you take. We missed the sign warning that the walk to the base of the falls was STEEP and STRENUOUS (yes - the warning includes these words, in capital letters, for emphasis). The walk down was most quite gentle, but the last stretch was very steep and, although picturesque, was probably unsuitable for anyone with vertigo. The return from the base of the falls was quite a workout - as promised. The slightly longer, but easier, return walk to the lookout is a better option for anyone who doubts their cardiovascular fitness, or has hip or knee problems.

I have been to the grampians many times so this time we decided to do something a bit different and instead of visit mckenzies falls from the carpark, we walked from Zumsteins carpark to fish falls, and then from there to the bottom of Mckenzies falls. It is a round trip of 7km which is longer but the walk is much easier and flatter. Fish falls were awesome but I am sure many never see them because they dont walk down that far. They are about 1km from the bottom of mckenzies falls and I think worth the extra walk. The river walk was close to nature and followed the river the whole way so there was always something to look at. I really enjoyed it.

You need to put in some effort before reaching the falls. A steep stairs descend will bring you to the base of the falls. Spectacular view. And be prepared for the steep hike up the stairs on your way back. Worth a visit. Just that you need to put in some effort for those who are not physically fit. Encountered a few wild kangaroos at the car park.....so, keep your eyes sharp and your camera ready all the time.

your legs will be sore for the next few days if you are not use to walking or dont exercise.you will know why.the walk is not very long but on way back very steep.but its worth the effort waterfall is so natural its the best place to visit in grampians.lots of tourist in this area.

The descend to the foot of the waterfall was easy and smooth, but the climb back up can be physically challenging. The view at the foot was spectacular and I would definitely recommend all at the Grampians to visit.
