destiny boonah donkey farm

My son and I spent two nights are the farm. The accommodation was very clean, well catered and comfortable. We patted the donkeys and helped feed them and basically had a wonderful experience. We visited many of the local places, Maroon Dam, Boonah, Running Creek and other places.

I booked a group booking for the Donkey Tour which is in a picturesque area of the Scenic Rim in SE Queensland and about 1hr 10 mins drive south west of Brisbane and about 1 hr 35 mins from the Gold Coast. It is in the countryside and about 10 mins south of Boonah a quaint little Queensland town. Heike is very passionate about her rescued donkeys and donkeys in general and gives a interesting talk with photos and explains some of her donkeys' stories, the type of donkeys they are and other wild life preservation she is involved with. We all got to meet some of the donkeys and have photos taken with them and they are so placid and good for kids to see and learn about. We had a very enjoyable nearly two hours there and I would recommend this for a day out including a round trip back to Brisbane. I will also put up the round trip we did under my Trip List.
