Not only is this a distillery, Paul and Sally Hickling also run a restaurant within the same complex. The distillery and restaurant are situated up in the hills above Jamestown and offer a welcome relief from the heat down in James Valley.Paul's rum. liqueurs, gin and his special St Helena style Grappa or Schnapps make the visit a very interesting tasting event. For Sally the restaurant business runs in the family and it's all well done and smoothly organised.

There's more experiences on this tiny isolated island than anyone could imagine and this is one of the best. Hard to believe that such a small distillery can create such a range of spirits, liqueurs and beers. Great food, thanks to our hosts Paul and Sally. It's located in one of the nicest parts of the Island, with great views down to James Bay. Really worth a visit.

A great place to take in some local tastes. Paul and Sally make any visit unique and memorable. The St Helena Distillery offers a great experience, and there's lots more planned, with beer and food on the horizon... and the view of the horizon isn't bad either!

Where else in the world can you get a guided tour by the owner in person who will explain how the wondrous spirits are concocted, before joining you in a taste or two? Paul and Sally run the most remote distillery in the world and it is also probably the friendliest distillery in the world too! St Helena Distillery is a must-see and definitely one for your bucket list!
