historic greyhound bus depot visitor center

while visiting the area we stopped to take a look, the young lady working for the downtown tourist association welcomed us in and gave us a private tour. They took an old run down building and are making it new again. Over $600,000 has been spent so far to renovate the 1920 bus station. They said they hosted an antique bus show last year and plan on doing another one in 2014 or 2015. This bus station has the setup like it was in the 20's before segregation to show how things were in the south before. the stop is still a work in process but very worth the stop, and also take a look at what they are doing down town. 9/23/13
