If you want a laugh and find some really unique Alaskan items, stop at Wal Mikes in Trapper Creek, just on your way to Denali. It's only five miles past the turn to Talkeetna.

Wal Mikes has one of everything, I'm sure of it. Very interesting place, don't miss their handmade jewelry. I passed on it and saw similar pieces in other towns for 3x as much.

Ok there is a real lot of junk. And most of it is probably junk. But it felt a little like American Pickers and Mike is super nice. I liked it and my kids thought it was cool. Worth a quick stop if you are driving by.

Definitely trying to take advantage of tourists. Nice stop if you are just looking around! Very unique and interesting! Wouldn't recommend buying anything, treasures you can find all over Alaska on a wilderness hike! $25 price tag on a vertebrae, this Alaskan was disgusted by the prices, we aren't stupid! You can find better treasure of much better quality and reasonable prices, at local garage sales!

I was on my way to Fairbanks from Denali Park with my 2 daughters when we discovered this gem.It was a fun stop and had lots of kick knacks along with tons of license plates which I was searching for. The owner was very interesting to speak with and told us a lot about the area. Wish we could have spent more time looking around, but we had to get moving.

Our Alaskan Tour Guides' driver made a brief stop at Wal Mike's and it was fun. Probably one of the most unique stores I've visited that typifies "one man's junk is another man's treasure". Great place to stretch your legs along the Denali highway and maybe pick up a "treasure" in the process.Gary W - Chicago

We love Wal*Mike’s! We stop here a couple times a year. There is always something new to see. If you like to look for rusty gold this is the place to go. Hogboys give Wal*Mikes a 10 in the “cool scale”!
