Tall Tales fishing Charters will show you the best time Halibut fishing without exception. Chuck and Jon brought us out to a place where no one else was fishing, it was the best "Honey Hole" you could have ever expected. There were all sizes of halibut caught and I'm sure everyone must have thrown back 10 to 15 fish each. The crew were professional and never promised anything except for going out and having a great time. They came through on that and exceeded my expectations of any charter. The only problem will be living up to that same experience next time should I not be in Homer and have to go out with another boat. Thanks again Chuck and Jon for the great experience and happy fishing to all on the Irish Mist.

As an Alaskan resident, I recommend Tall Tales. It was a great experience with higher than expected results. Chuck, our captain and his grandson Jon were fantastic. This was my first time fishing for halibut, and I landed two great fish and was affirded the opportnity to catch and release about seven smaller ones. Chuck and Jon were both professional and personal. They made sure we caught big fish and to have a great time. The equipment was high grade, the bait was top notch and their company was greatly enjoyed. If you are looking for fun and your limit, this is the charter for you!!!!

My husband and I recently traveled to Alaska, and the highlight of our time in Homer was going fishing with Tall Tales Charters. There are a lot of halibut charters in Homer, but this one was great. Chuck, the owner, and his grandson, John took us out to a great spot. They showed us exactly what to do and hooked my first couple for me, but when I figured it out later, they sat back and didnt interfere. We caught our limit and then some ( had to let several go) in just a couple hours. I would highly recommend this family charter company!

We had the pleasure of booking our Halibut Fishing trip with Tall Tales. We did the all day charter in September 2008 and had a ball. I had contacted several charters before deciding on Tall Tales and we were so glad we did. I chose them because Chuck told me we would have a great time with him. and he would give us all the help we needed to have a great fishing experience. My husband has had 5 back surgeries and we were concerned about him fishing. We had never fished in Alaska much less fished for halibut but Chuck and his partner could not have been more accomodating. They made sure we had the time of our life. If you are ever in Homer and want to go fishing but are nervous about the experience call Tall Tales. They will make it a day to remember.
