On our way to 'North America's most westerly highway point' we discovered this great spot.Drive all the way to the end of Anchor River Road. There you'll find a small parking lot (near the boat launch) and you have easy access to the beach. When you go for a beach walk, be sure to check the tide! It's a very good place to watch eagles (on the beach and in the trees). Across Cook Inlet you can see three volcanoes: Mount Augustine, Mount Iliamna, and Mount Redoubt.(next to Halibut Campground)
