This is a gem in this small SE Alabama town. Located in Downtown Dothan across from the Civic Center.

This is a small, but charming museum in a historic building in downtown Dothan. It has at least four exhibition spaces and the museum keeps constantly revolving shows going. Upstairs is a kids museum which is great for young children. I used to bring mine here on a rainy day to keep them occupied. They have several different stations that my children thought were fantastic. There's also a small gift shop. In addition, they sometimes highlight local artwork from area schools. It's been a little while since I've been there to view an exhibition, but I don't believe they have a specific admission price, they just ask for a donation. You can also become a member. It's also a nice setting for an elegant party - they rent it out for that purpose. It's only steps from the World's Smallest City Block - so kill two birds with one stone and visit both sites while here. If you go during the day there are several places where you can eat lunch or picnic. Makes for a nice, inexpensive afternoon.
