Pretty good. Everything is pretty clean and just as I remember it back in 1987. They had only 6 mats for water slide . Middle of summer and 6 mats. Makes no sense .

This is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day, especially With kids, water slides and a wave pool. It's not a big waterpark but it's convenient and a good place to get your feet wet for the day without having to drive to the beach.

This is not a water park on par with something like Big Kahuna in Florida or Whitewater in Atlanta, but it is a fun place to take kids and teenagers on a hot, summer day. The size is manageable so, with older kids, you can kind of make a home base and have them come check in with you on occasion and feel pretty good about it. Be prepared to stay busy with young kids though. You might can get them to settle in at the little kids' pool, but even so you'll probably want to move around some to keep an eye on them because the slides and things can impede your view. Admission, I believe, is $12 for adults, $9 for kids. Children under 2 and adults over 60 are free. On Tuesdays and Thursdays you can get in for 1/2 price from 5-9 p.m. Season passes are available too. You can rent tubes too - for the wave pool. There is a large wave pool, a kiddie pool with some slides, fountains and other fun features, three waterslides that are relatively tame, but enjoyable. For the more adventurous, there is something called the Great White. You climb up what feels like zillions of stairs to my old knees - carrying your own tube, which can be kind of dicey with younger kids, then drop off this steep drop. The kids have to be 42", I think, to ride this ride. I've always found the lifeguards to be very attentive and watchful. There's a gigantic area around the wave pool for sunbathing or making home base. There are also some picnic tables tucked around and about, as well as a snack shack and a gift shop. A pavilion is available for groups. You can spend most of the day at the water park, but it's located within Westgate Park which also has a 5K hiking trail and biking trail and playgrounds - including one for handicapped children,so you can do other stuff as well. A new library has also been built nearby and it sometimes has fun activities during the summer. Sometimes they'll show movies in the wave pool in the evenings.

We had a BLAST at Water World in Dothan! The only thing I missed was having more shade. There was also a large group of children brought by busses the day we went (a couple hundred extra kids) which made the wave pool a bit crowded, but it was still a fun day.

This has to be one of the safest water parks around. The guards are always on post and won't hesitate to dive in when someone stays under too long. The wave pool is one of the more popular areas, though many brave the cyclone too.

Water World hits the spot for families with smaller children and for out-of-towners, but for locals and teens the draw is limited. What Water World offers is maintained, accessible, and really what you would expect from a small water park (wave pool, a couple swimming areas, a few slides, and food and merchandise vendors). A plus is that it is compact, which means there is not a lot of walking. Pricing varies for type of admission, such as through the week only or weekend too, and you can simply pay on a daily basis. Do not expect to be wowed, and additions would definitely add quality and buzz to the park. But parents with toddlers, elementary, and middle school children will be pleased with the offering and should try it.

I have been to this water park many times over the years with my daughters....I just wanted to mention the rude employees on this visit from the girl that took our money to the cluesless girls in the gift shop on that tues afternoon. Seems like such a nice place would expect better from their help. Makes a difference when people are nice and friendly. Seems to me their needs to be a staff meeting!!!

If you are over 60, you get in the park for free. You still have to pay for the grandkids, but it is still a good deal. There is plenty of shaded areas if you don't want too much sun.

Too many people for such a small water park. we could not enjoy oursleves because of the crowd. For the money we paid we should've been comfortable. The kids had fun so the trip wasn't a bust

What more can I say? Wave pool, kiddie pool, slide. Great place to take the kids on a hot summer day.

VERY large pool with wave machine that turns on with a warning. The pool has a slope that is very walkable with plenty of shallow space to just sit and play with the youngsters while the bigger kids play. There are also water slides and a great separate "kiddie pool" that keeps bigger kids from ruining the fun for the toddlers. They even have their own water slides--perfect for the kiddies! Families can spend the day here with the picnic tables, pavilions, and plenty of chaise lounge chairs. There's a snack bar, and shower/locker rooms. Tue & Thurs 1/2 price evenings, senior citizens get in free. Great family fun, and a super way to cool off during the hot, humid days!

Great spot to beat summer heat. Slides for all ages, in addition to wave pool. Lockers and food are offered. We especially enjoy half price on select evenings.

Not family friendly!!! Don't go!!! The teenager, Savannah, attending the Tadpole Hole was repeatably rude to my 3 year old child and discouraged her from coming down the tiny toddler slide. In contrast, she was very friendly to some other children that seemed hesitant to come down the slide. It seemed as if she simply didn't like my little girl. It was our first and last time there. I watched her discourage my child 3 times before I stepped in and gave her a reality check. Then I told the teen manager who was kind about the issue, but I left really unsatisfied with the whole experience and vowed to actually get online and share my opinion. The park also is incredibly small and overcrowded.

We were looking for something simple and inexpensive to do with our 9 year old grandaughter on a Sunday afternoon. Water World was suggested and it was perfect. The wave pool had various levels of challenge. It was very low in the beginning so good for toddlers and got deeper the further in you went. They had the waves on for about 10 minutes and then off for 10 and alternated this way all afternoon. We were allowed to use flotation tubes (rented for $2 at the park) which made it easier to negotiate the waves as it can get tiring. The nice thing about this type of pool is that you don't have the chaos of children running and jumping and diving all over the place. It stays rather organized yet very fun for all and easier to stay close to your child. Four lifeguards on duty at all times was also reassuring especially when the waves are on and they stand at attention watching the pool very closely. The other things about the park were the two different water slides. One had three tracks and was perfect for children and adults. The other was a very steep drop that propelled you up the ramp on the opposite side and you do this back and forth until you slow down and gently glide to the end. I wish I did have a photo to show because it's hard to describe but I'm sure others have posted them. Maybe I haven't been around much but I have never seen this type of slide and it was so much fun! There was also a little people area but we didn't visit it as it didn't apply to our family. The park is very clean, not too large so getting around is easy and you feel more comfortable allowing your children to move about without the fear of them getting lost or swallowed up in the crowds. It's an easy afternoon of total fun in the sun. Thanks Water World!
