At the time of our last visit, there is about 25 miles of trail up and around the mountain, 2 trailheads. It's fantastic! smooth carved trail for MTB riders, by MTB riders. I gather IMBA and the local chapters created this wonderland of roller coaster trail system. Man, there are a lot of rocks in Alabama. The climb up is a climb, but it is all contoured and not terrible to endure for the really wonderful singletrack that winds all over the mountain and the descent back down is incredible! I came close to killing myself on several occasions and you couldn't have wiped the grin off my face with a chisel. I wanted to go right back up and do it all over again and again. I'm jealous that you guys have such an awesome riding destination right there and I have to drive for almost 3 hours.

Coldwater mountain bike trails have something for everyone. These are world class trails that are well made for maximum flow, speed and safety. All riding levels. I look forward to the expansion.

This trail is close to Cheaha State Park & Oak Mt. State Park We enjoyed being able to ride all of these in one vacation. Each different. We wish showers were at Coldwater we would have paid to had one but we knew before we came thanks to the staff at the park.

I live very close, walking distance. I hiked the trail. It was a challenge just walking it. Parts are rock some parts steep. Wear a helmit and bring PLENTY of water more than one bottle. Once there you got to get back out. No short cuts. I would go with a friend have one car at the trailhead and the other at the end.

Coldwater Mountain is an easy two hour drive from metro Atlanta on I-20.These excellent trails offer a blend of challenging climbs, exhilarating descents, technical rock gardens, and awesome mountain views. Bring extra water and body fuel so you can stay and play longer!Website says no facilities, but the parking lot does have porta-potties. However there are no trash cans and there is no running water so bring your own and carry out your trash.http://www.neaba.net/coldwater-mountain-bike-trail-project.htmhttp://www.neaba.net/trails/CWM_Map.jpg
