Close to home comfortable safe atmosphere. A good variety of machines, nice players club events especially for seniors. Good food establishments. Constantly improving. Machines could pay out a little more often, but they do pay out. Staff is courteous

We tried the buffet a couple of years back and quit going it was so mediocre. This time everything I tried was the bomb. Great creole home cooking properly done. I couldn't complain about anything that I tried, and neither could the wife. It was all so good we both over ate , which is why I avoid buffets. This one might just be unavoidable. Really good food is getting hard to find. Easily earns the 4 avocados in my book.

Not your typical second tear track. The surface played very well all night at the LA Legends stake races. The crowd was fun, everyone was enjoying the events at the track. They kept it interesting between the races with giveaways. Food at the track is normally a dirt or polytrack mix with a gritty or slimy coating. Food here was excellent. Little to no wait, great value. Casino right next to cafe, you would think it would be ridiculous, but it was very well run. Hotel staff was great, rooms very nice and everything is with in an easy walk.

We always enjoy the atmosphere and racing. The food has improved since Boyd Gaming purchased the property. I have always been treated super by all the players. I go 3-4 times a year. Love the Cajuns. Good for entertainment when you are looking for fun.

The horse racing is OK but I'd go to Marksville or Kinder for Casino. I live in Opelousas but would rather drive than go to this casino.

The food has not been as good since they were bought out, the fish has always been good the other stuff is very hit and miss. We live in the middle of sausage country ( No baloney sausage) but they get this stuff they get does not come for around here, If you from south Louisiana you know what I mean. Come on put a little seasoning in your food

When you're looking for someplace to go in Opelousas, this is it. Even if you don't gamble, the Cajun Buffet is a nice place to eat all of the things you don't feel like cooking at home. If you want to not do the line in the buffet, there is always Cafe 24/7. Want something a little more upscale then there's Blackberry's. The game floor is constantly changing with the addition of new machines and for card holders there is always something going on in the way of giveaways. This month they're giving away 4 Ford Mustangs. The fairly new Event Center is constantly having nice entertainment and racing season is back in the swing. It beats sitting in the house!The meeting rooms in the hotel are nice and staffing in both the hotel and casino are very personable.

Not a bad selection of slot machines but never win anything. Liked the racetrack the first few times I've been here but not a big deal anymore. Restaurants and drinks overpriced. I guess coming here beats walking around Wal Mart when we stay here for a pit stop on the way to New Orleans.

I used to eat often here but lately the buffet is just not up to par as far as flavor or quality or variety. I felt like the food is all bland now.:(

Seems they had a shortage of towels we didnt have any until 8pm and then had to go bring them to the room myself..

The casino has only two types of gambling allowed by state law.....horse racing and slots. The horses are beautiful and exciting to watch. The slots are about as tight as I've ever seen, but do offer a variety of gaming options. And yes, there were winners!

We went to the casino several times and enjoyed the slots, but weren't winners. Not whiners either, because our losses were minimal. The evening buffet was quite good, with a lot of Cajun specialties. The first time we went (9/11/13) the chicken & sausage gumbo was wonderful, and a few days later (9/16/13) it was hardly worth eating. The first buffet had great cornbread and the second one had delicious salmon and pizza.
