shepherdstown pedal & paddle

We biked to DC and stopped at Sherpherdstown along the way to get a meal and see if we could find a bike store that could help with a frustrating rubbing sound that sounded like it was coming from the brakes. The bike store employee was extremely pleasant and helpful identifying the issue within seconds and having me out the door shortly thereafter. (The Trail Guide helped us located the store but would be helpful if the phone number were listed too)

We rented bikes for a ride along the canal from Shepherdstown to Harper's Ferry. The initial telephone call earlier in the week was handled by Michael who was both very informative and very entertaining and not necessarily in that order. When we arrived, we found that Michael was more entertaining and helpful in person than on the telephone. His co worker, who's name I do not remember, prepared the bikes for us and handled a myriad of questions and concerns very patiently. It was an easy and pleasant process and kicked off a very nice ride. Prices were reasonable.We would use their services again.

On the night we entered Sheperdstown, we had one bike in need of quick fix, and Sheperdstown Pedal and Paddle did not disappoint. Jamie did a fine job of selecting a new tire than would make it through the rest of a long journey. Prices on a variety of gear and service were respectable.
