Brian was a great guide and he even let us open things up a bit towards the end, since we had some experience riding and once we proved we could keep up with him, he let us have a great time and showed us some cool trials and it was a dope experience! I highly recommend using them if you get a chance to experience Montana a bit!

I bought my husband a 2 hour tour for his bday but was a bit apprehensive about riding myself. If you're nervous, don't be. This trip was BRILLIANT! Shaun will go at your pace and make you feel completely safe. The views were incredible, I've never seen such untouched terrain. Don't miss out!

My husband and I along with our 5 year old son took an afternoon (1/2 day) guided tour with Sean. It was wonderful!! Sean was so great with our son. The trails were gorgeous and snow covered. Amazing views! Sean took us to the top and let us 'play' in the wide open area. My husband and I both turned our sleds over but Sean fixed everything and never lost his smile. My son had a blast in the deep snow, which was the perfect place for an epic snowball war. After play time we went up the back ridge for more amazing views. Sean even kept us out past dark, extending our tour time. A great time for all of us and worth doing!!! We never felt unsafe. We'll definitely come back and do it again.

This was by far our favorite part of our trip!! Our guide, Sean, was awesome! He made the trip all about us! He let us play and really have fun on our snowmobiles. He was so patient and knowledgable. The places he took us had amazing views! He won't push you past what you're comfortable doing, but he'll encourage you to have fun. There were a few hills I wasn't sure about, but after I flew down them, I was hooked! My husband loved being able to go off trails and follow Sean. We were sooooo pleased with our trip we can't wait to come back!! Won't visit Montana without booking with Sean again!!

We had the pleasure of going on a 2 hour snowmobiling tour with our guide,Shawn, in January 2014. My husband has snowmobiled many times before, but it was the first time for our 4 children. Shawn was there on time with great equipment and helped get everyone trained about the machines and gear. The trip itself was great, the views were spectacular! Shawn went out of his way to make it a wondeful first time experience for our family. We would wholeheartedly recommend Shawn and Swan Mountain to anyone interested in having a memorable snowmobiling trip. When we next visit Whitefish, we will be calling them again.

We called up Swan Mountain Snowmobiling to see if they had anything open. I'm so glad we did! We got their info from the local tourist guide and they squeezed us in for a 2-hour Snowmobile trip. A bargain! 3 people, full rentals, 2 hours guided snowmobiling- all for $275. we drove up through Columbia Falls to the Canyon Creek Recreational Area where a lot of people enter the Snowmobile trails. We met our guide at the staging area. He distributed our rental gear (that included an avalanche beacon, jackets, helmets, and even gloves if we needed them!). He gave us a quick intro to how to drive a Snowmobile (or "sled" as its called in western Montana!) and we hopped on! It was the first time on a sled for all of us! It was a lot like driving an ATV but turning took some getting used to. It was so much fun!! Our guide Shawn took us up and up and up. We climbed 4,000 feet and reached over 6,000 feet at the Kimmerly Basin. The basin looked like a giant playground for snowmobiling. Tracks everywhere! Shawn brought us to the highest point to take pictures. He showed us how deep the snow was when he pushed the 10-foot poll into the snow under our feet and it never touched ground! Shawn let us "play" in the basin which of course means we all got stuck. Several times. But Shawn got us out every time always with a smile on his face. He was so positive and a great guide for first-timers. Our total ride was 25 miles (up and back down the mountain). Shawn was such a great guide! I highly recommend him and Swan Mountain Snowmobiling!

We took our daughter who was visiting from college out snowmobiling, a first time for all 3 of us. Shawn was our guide, his explanation of the workings of the snow mobile and safety of the ride/mountain trails was great. We had a blast, the views were fantastic. Can't wait to do this again!!!!

On a sunny day I took a guided snowmobiling trip up to Desert Mountain with my 14 year old guest from Brazil, who had never done any snow sports. Our guide was Shawn and he was just wonderful in explaining everything to her and to me! I have done this trip a couple of times, but felt that it would be best if we had Shawn with us in case my young guest needed extra help. The sleds are brand new and work so well, that you really cannot go wrong! Shawn was patient and fun, which made for a very enjoyable experience. We got to see fabulous views of Glacier Park and the surrounding area. Unless you want to summit peaks by foot which is really not convenient or possible for most people, you really do not get to see amazing views like these unless you hop on a snowmobile and head up there. It was a 2 1/2 hour ride and it was just perfect! Thank you Swan Mountain for providing such an amazing service!

We had a party of 8 on an all day snowmobile adventure this past weekend that was fantastic and the the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. A couple of us had snowmobiled before but for most of us it was our first time. Our lead guide, Brian, did an excellent job with instruction and gave us plenty of opportunity for photos. Our rear guide, Mike, also did an excellent job and we really appreciate his patience with the few that took the trails a little slower than the lead pack......LOL. Our lunch at the Summit was a nice break. We even laughed a lot when one of our snowmobiles ran out of gas about 20 minutes from the end of the trip and two women (myself and our host) had to ride the rest of the way back together. Thank you to Brian for swapping snowmobiles with us as his snowmobile was bigger and easier to carry two.. The memories we will carry with us forever. Thank you to Eric as well who was out there for another group but had to lend his guide jacket to me since they ran out of gear. I was plenty warm! We would absolutely entertain another trip with your organization in the future. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!

Our group of friends took two different snowmobiling trips with Shawn from Swan Mountain during our 10 day stay in Whitefish and would do it again and again! The scenery is breathtaking and the views of Glacier National Park and its surroundings are stunning.Shawn knows exactly how to get you to the overlooks and views you want to see and allows plenty of time for you to soak it in and take many, many pictures. He also allows "playtime" for just purely enjoying running a snowmobile. He is one of the best and most attentive guides we have ever had and we have snowmobiled a lot out west. Two members of our group were newbies and felt very comfortable with the well groomed trails and attentiveness Shawn showed. We all trusted that when Shawn took the opportunity to run fast, we were also safe to do it without fear. It was a great trip and an excellent adventure!

Our family of four took a trip to Montana and snowmobiling was top on our list of things to do. My husband was the only one with any experience. Brian was our guide and he made our trip a blast! He gave us great instruction, allowed our pace to be as aggressive as we could handle, made sure we got all our photo ops, and was an all around good guy. Brian was patient in giving us plenty of time in the play areas and was quite a trooper when 3 of the four of us got bogged down in snow and he had to work hard to get us out. The snowmobiles were new and easy to operate. Definitely recommend this for several hours of fun and adventure.

Four of us were on a ski trip and decided to give snowmobiling a try. All from Minnesota we had some experience but it had been a while. Shawn, our guide was great. Gave us all the info/instruction we needed and showed us a great time for the next 4 hours on the Canyon Creek trip. Shawn was very flexible and always asked us what we wanted to do. The price for this adventure is a great deal. The res staff booked this for us on short notice and took care of everything. I have done similar trips in Yellowstone and Northern Minnesota. This was by far the best combination of value, adventure, well run and enjoyment. The sleds were awesome too. We would definitely do it again

My wife and I, and another couple, booked a half day trip on the Desert Mountain trail. It was a fantastic time! The Swan Mountain Outfitters were professional and friendly in setting up our trip, answered any questions we had, responded promptly to e-mails and knew what they were doing. The equipment and staff are first rate, and were experienced and knowledgeable. We ran at our own pace, had regular stops for pictures (which you will appreciate given the scenery) and had no issues. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
