Our family of 5 took the half-day float trip and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and commentary from the raft guide. This is not a whitewater thrill ride - but a great way to rest from hiking and see another part of this great area.

We did the over night rafting trip in Aug. It was so fun! the guides really know the area and they found us an awesome spot on the river to camp. not to mention the food was delicious! We would recommend this to any of our friends and family.

One quality sets glacier guides apart from guides from other parts of the world--knowledge & passion. I went on 3 single day hikes with the guides. They were knowledgeable & shared interesting facts abt wildlife!. During the hike, I witnessed the guides picking up litter from the floor , stuffing the litter into their backpockets. yes, the idea of conservation & preservation had been ingrained into their minds! The guides certainly prractised what they preached!

This was an awesome trip. My friends and I went rafting in the beginning of the season in May. It was a great time. The guide was a lot of fun and really enhanced the experience. The rapids were thrilling and the scenery was very cool. I had been meaning to write this review for a long time and decided to write it a few months late because it was that great of a trip. Highly recommend it. They also have sweet gear in the shop.....

We had 2 hikes over 2 days with Jeff, a really lovely Guide, who was not only very informative, but highly entertaining and could make even sediment sound interesting. It was impossible not to be swept along by his enthusiasm and his knowledge brought the two hikes alive. We wouldn't have gained nearly so much from it without his presence. He also makes great sandwiches! The two walks we did, one to Avalanche Lake and the other along the Highline Trail, were not challenging or exhausting and with frequent stops, you could really enjoy it to take in the magnificent scenery. We never felt rushed. Jeff was very attentive at all times to make sure all the walkers, and there about 8 of us, were ok. We enjoyed Jeff's company very much but are perfectly certain the other Guides are as good. The staff in the office certainly were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

i visited glacier np in july 14 and spent a week there in sundowner rv park very nice park great people i took a 1 day fishing float with guide collen he was very knowledgeable of the north fork of the flathead river we caught 30 something cutthroats that day all pan size but full of fight collen was very patient with me and was a fun guide i would recommend this to everyone great time and experience

I had called late in the morning to make a reservation for that afternoon and was told that there were no more sessions in the afternoon, but they would ask if someone was willing to take us. I felt that was above and beyond their duty. Eric agreed to take us and he was an AWESOME guide! He was very knowledgeable and funny! This was a first time white water rafting for the four of us and he made it an enjoyable trip. It was a the best way to end our vacation! We would definitely white water raft with Glacier Guides and Montana Raft again!

My three day trip with Glacier Guides was one of the greatest backpacking trips I have ever taken (I an 55 years old) and I have been on many all over the world. My guide was young, very professional, well prepared, and AMAZING cook and very well versed on the history of the land and nature information. I already have spoken with them and am booking the dame guide for next year on a different trip. If you want to backpack Glacier do yourself a big favor and book this company.

We were scheduled for a half day whitewater rafting trip, but since the weather had turned cold, we were offered to switch to the scenic float instead. We decided on this to avoid getting too wet and cold. We ended up having a private trip with Tyler, who was awesome. We felt very safe and Tyler was informative about the area and answered all of our many questions! The day ended up being warmer than we expected, so it was really nice! Highly recommended. And next time, we will do the whitewater!

Just completed my second 6 day backpacking trip in 2 years with these folks. Once again had a great time: they are solid, hard working, caring, and very knowledgeable. Guide Jeff Compton was once again a splendid companion and aide on the trail. Great food, great company, great support. This is a wonderful outfit, Compton is a superb guide, Glacier park is challenging and truly magical.

Thank you for your review Gene. We get a lot of folks that are unsure of whether or not it is worth it to hire a guide to hike in the park. Of course we are biased and think the world of our guides, but it is always nice to hear that our guests agree. Thank you for joining us, and we hope that you are able to visit Glacier again soon.

I've done 3 raft trips this summer with this company as family and friends have come to visit us from around the world, and each one has been super! They really take care of you from start to finish. The guides know the conditions and suit you up accordingly. They are funny and know lots of local history which they impart during the calmer moments on the river. There are several rafting and hiking guide groups in the West Glacier area, but this one is the best! Also, there are waterproof cameras you can buy in the shop, but when the rapids are high, you really don't have a chance to get good pictures, so I recommend you forget that, and just enjoy the experience.
