What's hot - the comedian's. We saw Brad Williams and Gary Menke, both are CRAZY funny. I laughed so much my side was hurting when we left! What's cold - the food and service. I ordered buffalo chicken tenders (hard to mess that up I thought), they were definitely frozen food and cold when I got them. I like TYSON chicken tenders MUCH better than these. My wife ordered a quesadilla, which she said was 'pretty good'. Unfortunately they serviced my food during the first act (of three comedians) and I had to ask for her food, which came during the headliner act.Lastly a manager kept walking back and forth in front of us (and the entire first aisle of tables). I never saw him carrying anything or assisting customers so this was frustrating and distracting.Bottom line for the Funny Bone - expect great comedy. Don't expect good food or service and you won't be disappointed.

It was a good experience overall. The servers and staff were competent and did their jobs well. The food quality was good - everything was prepared well and delivered hot. I was hoping for people to be friendly and have a fun atmosphere, but that wasn't happening here. The comic was funny and other than a lack of friendliness I'd say it hit the mark... so four stars it is.

Over priced - service was terrible. Not to mention food was not good, but what can you really expect from a comedy club.

I invited two friends to see Rich Guzzi a hypnotist. My friend's husband is a psychologist and was very skeptical. We sat at the very front and got to see everything (get there early if you want to sit up front). I had seen Rich before and knew how good he was. By the end both of my friends had thoroughly enjoyed themselves. My friend had the Caesar salad and I had the chicken quesadilla, her husband had the fried pickle chips and buffalo chicken wings. All were good. He wanted more hot sauce for his wings. Portions were decent. There were comment cards on the table to get free show tickets, too.

We happened on this place unintentionally. We had spent a rainy day at the Newport on the Levee. That evening instead of leaving we decided to take in the comedy show. It was a place with tables crammed packed into it. The drinks were high priced and not very good. The service was over whelmed and not attentive. The show was raunchy, yet funny. We did have fun at this place, but it was just an average venue.

I had made our reservation for a party of 4 and everything processed. However, I wasn't able to print the tickets. I called a couple of times to check on them and get more info and the office was never open. I left messages and I never received a call back. I had to call about 10 different times on 5 different days before someone ever answered the phone. The times of their office being open was not accurate. When I finally got through, they said the tickets didn"t process because of a computer glitch and said the tickets were first come, first serve basis. We ended up having to sit way in the back. There is a 2 drink or food minimum, and the food is low quality bar food but the pretzels are decent.

We saw adult hypnotist (don't remember name), he was hilarious, really enjoyed show. A few of participants were just acting, but to my amazement, several were out of their minds doing crazy things. I am naturally sceptical Great venue and value. They do serve food, not bad, we at before we got there, then just had appetizers. They do often offer discounts if you are on their email list. Plenty to do before and after the show on the Levee.

Last night was my first visit to Funny Bone at Newport on the Levee. It is a relatively small venue with table service for food and drinks. Keep in mind that the ticket price for the comedian(s) does NOT include all fees. Each patron much purchase at least 2 items from the menu be it food or drinks. My husband and I ordered food which was not prepared well and actually tasted rather poor. The server bordered on rude, too. However, this is a comedy club and the featured comedian was Rod Man, the winner of this season's Last Comic Standing. He is hilarious and well worth the price of the ticket ($25) plus the food/drinks $45 (for two). Since his is a 21+ show, he does have some jokes which are vulgar but overall, most of the jokes were suitable for teens/adults. If the food wasn't so poorly presented I would have rated a 4. I will go back, however, should a comedian appear that I find funny.

We had never been to a comedy club. I booked tickets on line. Every thing worked fine. The place was crowded and service was swamped. Prices were not too bad. Rodman was great on TV and better in person. He added to the bits that he did on TV, which was the right move. We wanted our friends to hear them. Rodman's delivery is so good. He is a good writer.

I have been to many shows here, some I have paid for and some I received free tickets. Most Comedians I have seen there are pretty good. It is a comedy club so you never know what they will joke about. I don't sit directly in the front. Usually the comic will have something to say to at least one person in the front. Seating is very tight. If you go as a couple expect to sit with other people. The food is just ok(lots of fried food), desserts are pretty good. Prices are kind of steep(pepsi $5.75 no refills). You are expected to purchase at least two items off the menu per person. I have never had a bad wait staff. The bathrooms need some heavy duty cleaning though.

i liked the table service, food, drinks and the intimancy of the seating. A small venue with everyone there to have a good time with others.I was not amused by the constant profanity and in-my-face sexual vulgarity. I'll choose future shows more wisely after comprehensive research.

As it was my first trip to a comedy club, I was excited for the experience. But, it was a bad experience from the start. You are greeted by perhaps the most unfriendly and rude staff I have ever encountered in a restaurant/club environment. Upon entering the club, you could immediately feel the stifling air and heat that lingered throughout the location. It had been 90 degrees outside that day and their air conditioning was broken. They did not tell the guest prior to entering the club in order to give us the opportunity to request a refund or opt to attend another show. Once inside, it was not terrible until the hundred plus people had crammed into the already tight space. It then became a sweltering sauna but, once the stage lights turned on, it was difficult to breath! I went out to calmley speak with the bartender asking if they would be do anything to compensate their guest that had literally been tricked into enduring a sauna comedy show. When I was told no, I said that we shouldn't have to pay for our bill at all considering the hell we had quite literally been forced to endure. When I stepped outside, into the 80 degree evening, it was ten to fifteen degrees cooler than it was inside, the bouncer brought me my bill and told me that he would not be allowing me back inside because I had lodged a complaint about the heat and suggested that we shouldn't have to pay our bill. REALLY?! To make matters worse my wallet was inside and they refused to get it until the show was over. When my husband came out to look for me, he also expressed dissatisfaction with not only the heat but their behavior towards me, they kicked him out as well. One of the comedians had witnessed the entire exchange as was floored and disquested by the behavior. The headliner even commented during his skit that it had been a terrible club to visit. Moreover despite me never saying we would not pay our bill they had the police their within minutes (this literally while my husband was inside closing out our tab). Although my wallet sat inside unattended for quite some time, it was our server who ultimately stole money from us. Due to our dissatisfaction my husband opted not to leave a tip. The server set her boyfriend, friend, whomever he was to request we leave her a ten dollar tip! I am a young professional now but, when I was working my way through college I was a waitress and I know that this is unacceptable and in most places discouraged to the point of termination. The server however put in an unauthorized tip for herself on our credit card. I called within the hour to lodge a complaint and requested a call back. 18 hours later, no phone call. Therefore, I called again and requested to speak with a manager otherwise I would be pressing criminal charges. The operator hung up on me and said she wasn't scared of the police. I called again and was finally able to speak with the manager. I am still waiting to see how this will pan out but, overall this was without a question one of the worst experiences I have ever had within this industry!! Bottom line, the owner would be appalled over how last night was handled. Clearly this company cares little about customer satisfaction and only cares about the bottom line and I will never visit this establishment again.

We were able to gets tickets the day of the event. The box office window is right out side and easy to find and purchase. The facility was clean and the seats all had a good view of the stage. We did not get any food. I was disappointed in the drink menu. Not my type of drinks. I did try one and it was really not to my taste but we were not charged for it. I was able to get something more to my liking by talking to the bar tender. The server did not know if other things were available. I think it depends on the bar tender. The bathroom facilities were fine. After the show we went out a back door and the comedian took pictures with each person individually. It was a fun night. I only rated low because their drink menu should be better if a two drink minimum is required.

We really enjoy going to the Funny Bone. It is four blocks from our house and the free tickets make it a no-brainer. If friends are in town, we do tend to go there. We have never been disappointed by the comic in any of our experiences and I know we have been there at least 15 times. I know people gripe about the food, but we feel that we are not there for the food. It does leave something to be desired, no doubt~so our two item minimum is usually alcohol. Not going to lie~we have often wished there was more to the food menu. The service is fine. The servers have an unbelievably busy night and we think they hold up really well. While a gratuity is added to the check, we always add to it as they do work extremely hard. We used to have access to coupons but the Funny Bone discontinued them. If you ever watched the check-out process, you would understand why they are too difficult to use with the system they have for getting all the tabs taken care of. Our discount restaurant coupon supplier refunded our purchase.I would say try this place for yourself. You be the judge. I think you will leave smiling.

We got FREE tickets but had to make a purchase - so we had dinner and drinks. The food was very good - took a little longer than expected but they were really busy. The show was great. Definitely will do again.
