We happened to be in the area & looking for something to do. We found this very nice museum. It included several buildings that had been taken apart & reassembled on the museum grounds. They included a schoolhouse, ice house, hunter's cabin & home, to name a few. They were all furnished with relics of the olden days. They had a huge area of vintage tractors & farm equipment. We spent 2 hours there. Great place to take children to learn about "the old days". Inside the museum were several collections including a pencil collection. They had old cash registers & an old change maker from the local theater. Everywhere you looked, you found something new! They even had a collection from the local dentist's office. The gift shop was well stocked with everything from postcards to hand made gifts including eyeglass cases, pillow cases, napkins, table runners & much more that were patchwork style sewing. Great find for a little town! And a great place to find that special gift you're looking for! Free admission, donations accepted.
