Bowdoin Park is so lovely and the perfect place for a family get together, birthday parties, etc. But you better plan early, because you need to reserve a pavilion for your event and they go quickly…like a year in advance. Of course, if you don't need a pavilion, there are plenty of picnic tables and wide open spaces. Lots for kids to do, bathrooms, baseball field and if you go up on the hill…..a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The park is beautifully well maintained and there is adequate parking, but get there early as it fill up fast on the weekends.

You can do anything there. Run, hike, meditation, yoga, play soccer, volleyball, go fishing, sight seeing, have a party, picnic, or any get together. There are fun festivities going on there during the warmer months that are deff worth going to. You can bring your dog there, your children, or your friends. Best park in the area. The sprinklers are a unique touch in the summer too.

Bowdoin Park, located on Sheafe Road along the Hudson River in Wappingers Falls. It is a great place to view the river, hike, bring children to the playground in nice weather, picnicking, barbecues, sledding or snowshoeing in the winter, just about any outdoor activity you can find here. It has well defined hiking trails, and in Spring and Summer, you might find Bald Eagles flying overhead. There is a beaver lodge, and signs of beaver along the hiking trail near the river. It is really a gem in the Hudson Valley, and has become more and more utilized as people have discovered it's beauty. Give it a try, it will satisfy the outdoors in you!!

lots of places to hold parties, event or barbq's - the lodge is amazing, the smaller pavillions are such treasures. Great playground for the small kids. the nature trails go on for ever. The only thing better is the park staff - I dont think you will find nicer and more helpful folks

Loved it. Kids loved it. Nice picnic area for after the water park. No cost makes it even better. I will definitely go back again and will highly recommend it to my friends and family!!!

They just opened a new water play area in the park. It is about the size of a volleyball court and has several structures spouting water. There are 2 water guns mounted on stands that let the kids shoot water at other kids. There are areas with less water for the younger kids. There are also structures that the kids can go under or through and get sprayed. I didn't see anyone supervising but there were signs that if you climbed on the structures, you could be evicted so I assume someone was watching.

it runs along the hudson river and there's a great little play area for children. the only thing is there should be at least porta potties or something placed strategically around the park bc my 4 year old an i had to walk a quarter of a mile for her to you the bathroom.

Nice for POK Folk but not out of towners. There is no river front access but nice views for those stuck in town and gives the kids a chance to run about and fly kites.

We have been to Bodwin park several times for scouting events. It is a great park, great views, play ground and sprikler area. They also rent out a party room that hold 100+ people, has a stage and small kitchen area. Great place for party or just to hang out for the day.

Take your family on a little outing to a nice park near the Hudson. Bring a frisbee, soccer ball, football, whatever to play in the fields and have some fun !

Very family friendly park with 2 huge jungle-gyms; plenty of ballparks, trails, and clean/updated pavilion. Beautiful view out over the Hudson River.
