WOW.......what an emotional trip down Memory Lane!! As soon as we walked thru the front door......the house smelled just like my grandmother's house growing up!!

The locals are super friendly and love sharing their stories. This house is nice because you can get close to everything and it's not all roped off like so many of these places. The tour guide is always willing to answer questions and tell stories.Very historic, it's small you can see it quickly but it's right next to the Jell-O museum

Curated by dedicated members of the community, this place is full of interesting tidbits of local history. They often organize fun events (even for small children) around the holidays.

We were there for the Jello-o museum. This was free and next door. The guide was quirky and entertaining. There was a manual that explained what was in each room, down to who was in the pictures hanging on the walls. In the basement their is a couple of old wagons/sleighs.

Great little museum with artifacts spamming the 1800 and 1900's. very intersting. Combined with the Jello museum provides for a nice break from the I90 corridor.

This tour was free and had lots of interesting pieces from all 200 yrs when this house was first built...lots of hands on stuff for kids...the basement I thought was the coolest...

This is worth visiting if you enjoy history. Lots to look at but the hours are a little inconsistent. Can keep you busy for a few hours if you're patient. Maybe call before going to make sure that it is open. I think they have budget issues so hours might be limited. This was also a stop on the underground railroad.

On a visit to the Jell-O museum, we also went in to visit the LeRoy house. We were not expecting such a lovely picture into the past. The tour guide gave us a lot of information throughout the tour. She was able to answer questions confidently.

The house has significance for the local history. There are many things in the house from the 1800's and early 1900's. There are many old pieces to look at.

Wonderful displays of local and NY history from 1830s to 1930s. Well-kept, highly accessible rooms representative of different eras in Le Roy history including that of the first women's university in the United States to graduate students. Great for all ages.

The main level of this home may strike you as the previous reviewer mentioned, "A Typical Historic Home" with lots of period artifacts abounding throughout. However, if you are a parent of young children, you will immediately realize this is NOT just a stuffy ol' hands-off historic home. There are actually a variety of hands-on activities to be found throughout each of the rooms. This engaged my children, ages 10, 6, and 2, for quite a while. They were immensely intrigued with the different things they could do.We actually spent almost two hours in the kitchen area downstairs. They use this area for educational activities and field trips, as well as real-live cooking demonstrations. We were the only people in the house that day, so none of these special events were occurring, but the kids had an absolute blast dressing in the costumes and using the plastic food to pretend to cook and prepare meals. There were lots of pottery displays, as well as more hands-on artifacts such as butter churns and workers, and so much more...The visit to this house was included with admission into the Jello Museum. We hit up both on our way to the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, and we are VERY glad we did!

Tour the home next door to the Jell-o Gallery. Guide was very engaging. Interesting 1930's kitchen.
