Love the "friends and family" atmosphere of this winery. . . do yourself a favor and get into the case club. . . will get you invites to special events and dinners!

For $5 you get 7 pours and a lovely overview of the winery's products. Didn't feel rushed during the tasting or pushed into purchasing (though we did buy a few bottles). Pleasant stop and worth the trip.

My wife and I stopped by last week for the Sangria Festival. No cost to get in and they had live entertainment along with some food vendors. Prices were ok, $5 for a tasting of five sangrias, $5 per glass of sangria and then $20 for a pitcher. My wife and I decided to each get the tasting for five. We figured if there was one that we really liked we would go back and get a pitcher. I must say that we were not very impressed by any of the sangrias. It was more soda water than anything else. In addition it was clear that if you knew one of the server's that you would get a full glass for a tasting ticket instead of a tasting. This really put us off. Just didn't seem fair. Well, maybe it was just a bas first experience. I will probably give this place another chance before I write it off.

Stopped in on a recent trip and found it to be a great venue. Small house serves as the tasting room and is quite comfortable. Information given during the tasting was outstanding. The employees are very into the products offered and are probably almost as passionate as the owners. There are other items for sale to like some rare fruit jams, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. After the tasting pick the bottle you enjoyed the most and sit in one of the Adirondack chairs outside, enjoy the sun and relax while taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Traveled to Hudson Valley area well north of the "winery" area but found this good wine stop. A couple good dry whites, but was very pleased with the dry reds. If you are in this area but not exactly on a winery jaunt, this is still a good place to stop, taste and walk away with a couple bottles.

We learned about this local little winery through Groupon and visited recently. It's a great place! It's a perfect setting and lovely people. Our tasting was with Brian and he was helpful, friendly, informative. We never felt slighted because we were using a Groupon (sometimes/places you do) and we completely enjoyed the visit and the wines and some local cheese too. We bought several bottles of wine and plan to return for the sangria fest in August. Go visit!

One of our hobbies is to visit wineries. We've been to over 100 of them and enjoyed our time at Hudson Chatham Winery. We had tickets to see A Prairie Home Companion at Tanglewood in the evening and were looking for something to do during the day. We chose one winery, one distillery and one brewery. This was the winery we chose. We arrived just as they opened so we were the only ones there. More were arriving as we left so I'm guessing that they get a good bit of foot traffic through the door. The setting is quaint as you park between the house and the vines. The tasting room is cozy and friendly. Our server knew her wines and held a great conversation about the grapes and more. You get 7 choices from the list. We both like dry wines and had plenty of options.Went home with three bottles as we will probably not be back in this area again. But if we were to return, we would visit again.

Brian, the manager, was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Great selection of wines. Looking forward to their sangria festival in August.

We stopped by this winery on our way to Hudson and had a great time. Although I must warn you, the tasting room is small...like 1-bedroom apartment in NYC small. My recommendation is, don't go out of your way to visit this place, but if its on your way to another destination stop in! Karen was fantastic and we had a fun time.

We had a beautiful visit to the winery with hosts Molly and Karen. They were very knowledgeable about the wines and very personable to make our overall experience very nice. I encourage anyone to take a trip to this quaint winery and enjoy the fabulous wines and hosts.

During a visit to my cousin in nearby Old Chatham with a mutual friend, the three of us stopped here after a day of shopping in Hudson and on-the-way-home stops at Love Apple Farm and The Fields Sculpture Park at Omi International Arts Center----both also in Ghent. It was picture-perfect day in late June, so we took our wine tasting party outside to the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. It was a very pleasant end to our day. I found the Hudson-Chatham 2009 Chelois Casscles Vineyards to be a delightful and unique soft, cherry flavored red table wine with a touch of vanilla. I later learned that this wine had received outstanding reviews from several wine authorities in the Hudson River Valley Region. The Hudson-Chatham Winery has a good selection of red and white wine offerings as well as some jam, cheeses, and spreads.

We were able to taste six different wines for $10.00 despite the fact we ended up buying a mix case. Most places waive the tasting fee when you purchase. The average price per bottle is $21.00 which is reasonable considering the quality of the wine and location. They also have some balsamic and oils and offer a small refrigerated section of local cheese which is nice since you can sit outside with your wine and enjoy the day. It would be nice if they did tastings and samplings of some of the other products they are promoting. The wine tasting area is rather small and really doesn't accommodate eight people very well. They should work on improving the wine tasting accommodations.

When we're traveling in the area, we have to stop and buy a case (or more LOL) of wine to bring home to share with family and friends. Carlo, Dominique and staff are gracious hosts. Every year we try something different like Blanc de Blanc but refresh our inventory of favorites such as Lindenwald White, Salmagundi, Baco Noir, Empire Red and White, Ghent and others. The wine is delicious. We always have fun when we stop at tge winery for a tasting.

We stopped in at the winery after a nice after noon taking in Art Omi, the Firefighter's museum, and a great lunch in Hudson. The three of us each tried the sampling which included 7 different wines ($5). By the end of it, I believe we tried ever wine available. Obviously, every one will have a different opinion of the wines. Personally, I loved the desert wines, but so-so one the rest.

Chatham, NY is not a place you associate with the great wine regions of the world, but this winery is setting itself above the other Hudson Valley wineries. They offer several varietals that are real values. As their vines mature, their wines should start showing greater maturity and depth. Try them now, so that you can say you knew them back before they were winning all these awards, which I fully expect they will be doing in the future.
