    I see negative reviews below (and very true positive ones) , and just remember that our perceptions are different of people depending on how we are too. So, just be positive and LISTEN and it will be AWESOME. Not saying that people cant have a negative experience, but I'd venture to guess it had a lot to do with a miscommunication or bad mood.All the instructors make you laugh the whole way up in the plane to calm your nerves. This was my 3rd time and the best time by far. the views are AMAZING... seeing the Royal Gorge from above-- priceless.I got to pull my own chute, which was awesome . (it is up to the instructor if you can) . It was my fiances first time and he had a BLAST. Amon was his tandem and said Clint screamed the whole way free falling... and that clint was the most fun all day. JK was my tandem and he is hilarious. We sang Imagine by John Lennon when we were coasting down after free fall. I recommend Skydive Colorado! It is fairly priced for everything. We are going to take classes and get our A license !

    My husband and I did a tandem jump as part of an extreme package with Royal Gorge Rafting to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. This outfit was top notch and our tandem jumpers, Amon and Matt, were great fun. It was my first jump and I was a little nervous, but Amon helped put me at ease and had me laughing. I would highly recommend Skydive Colorado to anyone wanting to try skydiving. They took photos and even video of the jump with GoPro. The scenery was unbelievable and the people were stellar and knew their stuff. Thanks for a great and memorable experience.

    My friend and I recently visited Skydive Colorado for the first time. We had purchased Living Social coupons. We were greeted right away upon arriving. We were able to sign our waivers, watch instructional video and get harnessed pretty quickly. Neither my friend nor I had Sky Dived before. They were really informative and patient with any questions we had. Our instructors were Matt and John. Really nice and funny guys that made the whole experience really enjoyable. We both had a blast and would highly recommend going here. We also had no problem redeeming our Living Social vouchers nor were we treated any differently because of them. I'm really not sure why they have had unpleasant reviews. We really had an awesome experience.

    Let me start with the positive. Once I did finally get a reservation and got to jump it was good. JK was an excellent instructor and jump coach. I felt entirely safe the whole time.But, I wasn't sure if I were ever going to get to make a reservation due to the fact that I purchased a Groupon. I felt like I was not treated like a full paying customer and when they found out I had purchased the Groupon they were not very helpful in finding me a jump time. Bottom line is I was pleased with the jump experience but would not recommend anyone buying a Groupon or Living Social deal for this business.

    I should start out by saying that we never got a chance to experience skydive colorado. We did, unfortunately, experience their customer support. We purchased 3 Groupons and recently called to see what we needed to do to redeem them. We were told that they weren t honoring those anymore and we d have to deal with Groupon to try to get a refund. Skydive Colorado was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. There was never any explanation given to us beyond that Groupon had oversold and they weren t honoring them any longer. This was some of the worst customer service that we ve ever had and we would never go back there, nor would I suggest this place to anyone.

    We were given a gift of a Groupon for a skydiving appointment. When trying to use the groupon as instructed it did not give us the option to use it. We called this company three times for assistance during their posted hours of operation, each time we were forced to leave a message, not once did they return the phone call. We finally contacted them through email, they wrote a very blunt email simply saying they were no longer honoring that groupon even though it was within its valid period, not once did they offer an apology. Really poor way to run an operation.

    As some of the other reviews have mentioned, I too purchased a groupon to skydive with this company. In BOLD print, in the first paragraph of the groupon it states that the coupon will "never expire". So, I waited until now to call and reserve my spot. The incompetent male employee who answered the phone told me that they aren't going to accept my coupon (although such restrictions were not mentioned even in the fine print). I work for another adventure outfitter in Colorado who partners with groupon as well and the company specifies the number of groupons they are willing to sell. This was in no way groupons fault. As a customer service representative I'm extremely insulted by the lack of professionalism and communication on the part of Skydive Colorado. The man who I spoke with was flippant, ignorant, and I would never trust him with my life. USE ANOTHER OUTFITTER.

    Two friends and I bought a Groupon to go skydiving. It would have been a great deal. I called well within the time frame, that the coupon allowed, and despite there being plenty of appointments, Ryan from Skydive Colorado said they were "no longer honoring the Groupon". He noted that Groupon "oversold" this deal. Ryan instructed me to call Groupon and "they will give you your money back". We were disappointed to say the least, I can understand that things like that happen. I called Groupon as instructed, and after three days of them looking into it, I received an email stating that my Groupon deal should be honored by the company and because it is still valid, they are unable to refund my money. Confused, I called back Skydive Colorado and was again told that they would not honor our Groupon. After communicating my frustration, I asked Ryan from Skydive Colorado to help to communicate to Groupon that they will not honor our deal and allow Groupon to refund our money. He refused and was extremely apathetic. The last person that I would jump out of an airplane with is anyone from this company. If I could give them a "0" rating I would have. Bummed to say the least.

    From the beginning, the employees here have been nothing but rude. I, too, booked a coupon and tried to make a reservation 2 months before the expiration date, to which they responded that there were no more vacancies before then. There were, in fact, vacancies as evidenced by their website, but apparently coupon holders were not good enough to fill these spots. While trying to make a reservation I called numerous times, but no one ever answered the phone. I left messages imploring that they get back to me, but no one ever did. Finally after calling twenty more times I got in touch with someone who abrasively told me it was "not their problem." Skydiving is an amazing experience regardless of location, but I'd rather give my money to businesses that treat their customers like human beings. I highly discourage anyone from skydiving at this location.

    I purchased a coupon from this company, tried to make a reservation to use it before the expiration date, and they replied that they "no longer accepted" the coupon they had sold to me, regardless of the fact that I had followed the rules here.Very dissatisfied with their attitude towards their customers. I will not be returning.

    My friend & I decided to go skydiving to celebrate her birthday. It was our first time skydiving for both of us. We were excited building up to it, until the day of & then we started to get nervous, ha! But the staff were all friendly & fun & made us feel comfortable & confident - as comfortable & confident as you can when you are doing an activity that requires signing your life away on a waiver :) My tandem instructor was Jess aka "Pick" & he was the perfect pick for me! He told me cool stories/history about the scenery from the plane on our ride up. And he's been doing this for decades & done 1000s of jumps & an added bonus, he looked like all my uncles in my big family in Wisconsin, so I felt comfortable & safe & confident with him. Like he had it all covered & I was just there to enjoy the ride! And I DID!!!!! The anticipation of the jump & the ride up were scarier than the actual jump itself was. The jump itself wasnt scary to me b/c I trusted Jess & it was just plain exhilarating fun! As soon as we landed, I wanted to do it again! We bought the pics & video & they are WORTH EVERY PENNY! The first time you dont know quite what to expect, so its a bit of a sensory overload & I found myself having a heard time remembering the experience well enough to describe it to my husband, but once I got back home & watched the video, I was like "yeh, yeh, now I remember that happening!" SO glad! And there were so many awesome pictures on the cd, more than I expected, so had a hard time narrowing it to which ones I wanted to post on FB! I so would have regretted it if I had not spent the extra money for both the video & pics! Coming in to it, I said "it'll be a once in a lifetime experience", but now that I have done it, I want to do it again! Im sure I would have been more scared if I was jumping by myself, but doing it tandem w/ a professional really left me feeling like it was more of a fun ride than a jump w/ a lot of pressure on me to do everything right. I feel like everyone should do it at least twice, so the second time you can take it all in a little more since you know what to expect. Great experience! Would totally recommend the staff & the experience to everyone! The only down side is it doesnt fit into my budget more often! Hoping I get an opportunity to do it with my husband (or any other friends I can persuade to try it) some day too! Thanks guys!

    I went skydiving at Skydive Colorado on March 2nd and it was amazing! Oh my gosh! I was very nervous but everyone was great at helping me to relax and be comfortable. The instructor I had was really funny but very professional and the guy I talked to on the phone before coming out was very patient and helped me out with any questions that I had, which was a lot :) I got the pics and video and both turned out really well. I'm going again as soon as I can. Not a single regret about this life experience! Thanks to everyone at Skydive Colorado for an awesome experience.

    We had purchased a two tandem skydives with pictures and videos through Groupon in November. The scheduled jump was in February. I called Skydive Colorado to book the jump and they pointed me to a website. Long story short, after three months, we inadvertently missed our date. I called the venue asking if there were something we could do. Not only was the gentleman not willing to work with me, he stated "you are the only person this has happened with out of 2,000". He was also going to charge me a cancellation charge and upwards of $375 to book a second person. Sorry, there is more than one company providing this service in Colorado that I am sure will be willing to work with me.

    I went skydiving for the first time this past weekend (on 6/23) and I was terrified! I have always wanted to do it, and the people there are awesome! So wonderful and patient! Great people, great experience! Highly recommend this place to anyone going for the first time! (or 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc!)

    Okay, on 8/20/2011 I did a tandem jump with this outfit. I have to say I was scared out of my mind. But, they are so professional and the entire crew is very laid back (at first I thought too laid back but they HAVE TO BE so you relax). My tandem partner (?) was John and I loved him. He was funny and just made me feel so at ease. He talked to me all the way up and all the way down! He stressed the importance of the landing over anything and even when I retell my awesome adventure I remind people LEGS UP AND OUT for landing. I had no idea how important that little bit of information was and John talked to me all the way down and our landing was PERFECT!I had such a great time and showed the DVD (so worth the money) that I might be heading back in September with my nephew and niece because if their AUNT could do it they want to do it!!! So, up, up and away for one more time! But, I'm not going without John!You know you want to do it so DO IT..... but do it with these guys! They are awesome.
