I was very nervous to go rafting but now I can't wait to go again! Good Times Rafting staff had such fresh enthusiasm which is amazing since they guide hundreds of these trips. We saw other rafts on the river but ours were the only ones going for the gusto!

We were part of a group of 13 family and friends who did the 1/2 day Brown Canyon trip in August 2014. Our ages ranged from 16-55 with several experienced and most of us beginners. Good Times Rafting is a smaller but very professional company. The guides and front desk employees are very helpful and experienced. Half way into our rafting trip we were caught in heavy, down pouring rains. The guides were so good about keeping our spirits up and the adventure going. There were several other large rafting companies out on the river too and I can assure you that they did not receive the attention or the same amazing experience. I would strongly recommend Good Times if you are looking for an adventure of a lifetime.

A group of 13 of us did the 1/2 day Browns Canyon trip in August 2014. Ages 16 to 55 with some experienced and some beginners, some super fit and others not so much ;) The water was flowing mightily for August so we had several great rapids to go through. We were glad we booked with this smaller, owner-operated rafting company instead of one of the big, impersonal ones. The 3 guides that day were top notch - one was the owner. They truly love their jobs. Also, they are a bit less expensive than the others we looked into. They are also very chill about everything. For instance, if you reserve their warm package and decide not to use it, they will refund you. They have a warm package with nice wet suits, jackets and water shoes that we were glad we had once it started raining on us. Don't let rain or cold even storms scare you way as that can be more fun! They don't have showers for afterwards. Bring a change of clothes. It is a good deal to buy the photo package where you pay $50 and get all of the photos for one entire raft. Otherwise, you'll have a tough time deciding on which two or three to get. They put the jpegs on a CD for you and you can do with it what you want from there.I suggest tipping 15% at the end of the trip if you liked your guide and had a good experience. My only complaint is that we waited a good 1/2 hour for some people who booked and paid but never showed up and couldn't be reached by phone. I hope they lost their deposit money!

Thank you so much to the staff at GTR for another great rafting trip through Brown's Canyon! Stretch was a tremendous guide - he kept things fun and lighthearted throughout! We have used GTR several times over the last 20 years and we certainly will again!

We had a large family vacation in Breckenridge and,in continuing family tradition, had to take a rafting trip. We had used Good Times several times over the last few years and decided to stick with it. It was only after arriving did we realized the company had changed hands, but this was a non-issue. If anything, they're better than we remember.Reservations were made by phone, but could have easily been done from their great website. Although we originally booked an afternoon trip, it was very mildly suggested that morning would be better due to the weather they had been having. Great call. Our group of 9, ranging from 12-45, took the Brown's Canyon am trip. Although we had to be split up, the staff was great at letting us know and getting 2 in with another family. Now the trip itself. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, because that's for you to discover."Stretch" was an awesome guide and made the trip. His pre, and on-board instructions were great. He judged our abilities and let us do some more difficult (fun) things which made the whole trip that much better. There is no other choice. If you're going to raft in Colorado, go with Good Times.

The staff was very friendly and funny. The rafting was exciting, there wasn't a time where I was bored.

I had a group of 10 and we booked the Browns Canyon rafting trip. Most of us had never been rafting before but that wasn't a problem for our excellent guides. They answered all of our questions and made the trip a lot of fun. I am really glad I booked with this outfit. Also, if you need to call with questions Jenna is super awesome to talk to. She was so helpful prior to our arrival, and really is a master of customer service. This place is really awesome.

Rafting on the Arkansas River is my family's favorite Colorado summer activity. We hadn't been to CO for several years but had always booked our trip through Good Times. So we booked a Brown's Canyon trip through Good Times again and were thrilled to discover that the location and ownership changed -- all for the better!! The location is closer to the put-in, so we were able to start our adventure right away. Chris, the new owner, was the guide for my husband, 2 teenagers, and me. He made the trip fun and exciting (we plan to raft Numbers through Good Times next year). Chris shared tons of interesting information about the area and even stopped to let my teens jump off a rock cliff a couple times (while the other rafting companies floated by enviously). When we finished the trip, we were greeted with towels and water. And the photos taken during the trip were fantastic and reasonably priced. Brown's Canyon on the Arkansas River is simply beautiful, and the rafting trip has the perfect combination of calm stretches and challenging rapids. There are many companies to choose from in the area. But you won't find a better company than Good Times -- from the lower price, to the nice equipment, to the knowledge of rafting and the rapids, to the extra-personal service. Please give Good Times a call when booking your next CO rafting trip, we definitely will!

To start, I should say that I did the Brown's Canyon AM tour with my fiancée and children (ages 13 and 10).I've been rafting more than a few times, and my experiences have always been fun, but this company was literally the best... for many reasons:1) First of all, they were the lowest price of any rafting company I could find in Colorado. Since I was paying for 4 people, price was a factor for me in considering which rafting company to use.2) Family-friendly. This company used to be Highside Adventure Tours, but was purchased in February 2014, and many of the guides returned to work under the new company name. All of the guides, office staff, and dogs were super-friendly and laid back. As far as the rafting, the guides were very qualified, and made for an incredible experience for both myself (rafting veteran) and the rest of my group (rafting rookies). It also is a fairly small operation, which I really liked, because it wasn’t overly crowded and touristy feeling, like some of the larger rafting companies in Colorado.3) Location. The area of the Arkansas River they use (Brown's Canyon) is one of the most popular rafting locations in the United States. I've personally rafted along this stretch of the river 3 times, and it is my favorite. We happened to catch it when the waters were incredible for a family experience (most of the rapids were class 2 and 3, with one class 4 in there as well). The base office is a little hard to get to (even though you can see it clearly from Hwy 285 in Nathrop, CO, but driving around the backroads to access it is definitely worth your time!

As we pulled into the parking lot we were greeted warmly. For our family of three this outfitter was perfect. The arkansas river was just the right level of difficulty for me, my wife and my 10 year old daughter. We knew we had picked the right outfitter when we pulled up to load the raft into the water and saw the bus loads of people with other outfitters. We loaded in and were on our way while they were still getting their groups together. Our main guide, randy, was awesome. He gave us excellent instruction, knew absolutely everything about the area: history, wildlife, plant life, topography, etc. just really knowledgeable. He and the other guides we all very friendly and helpful and made us feel completely safe. If you want to feel better about your trip, choose this outfitter!!!
