Beautiful. Spiritual. Definitely worth the 335 stairs you have to walk to view. Wear comfy shoes and bring water to drink.

There is a walk to the top of the shrine. Once you get to the top you have a peaceful view of the city. The drive up the mountain was great the deer crowded the side of the road.

I've been coming here since the late 1980s. I have never had a prayer submission that was not answered. The surroundings are inspirational, there is a real connection to a higher power here. Light a candle, say a prayer, watch a miracle happen! This place has prevented suicides, saved small animals, and even saved a troubled teen from the wrong path all from prayer submissions made in the quiet of the room full of candles...

Mother Cabrini Shrine is a religious shrine in a spectacular setting. Beautiful chapel for meditation and prayer, small gift store with religious items. Other attractions would be the Grotto Chapel, Stairway of Prayer, Walking Rosary, Meditation Walkway, Ten Commandments, Mysteries of the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, Natural Spring, Cabrini Museum, Stained Glass Windows and the Heart of Stones. The climb to the shrine is not too steep (373 steps) and well worth it, especially in warmer weather. If you are not up to the climb you can drive. Road can be closed in bad weather. The views of Denver are spectacular. Lovely place to go to get away and be quiet. Always a rewarding trip.

Great motorcycle ride, lots to see, even get some exercise climbing up to the top, about 200 steps, thereabouts! On a clear day, awesome view! Watch out for wildlife here, the pretty much have the run of the place, pretty tranquil, afterall, it is a shrine! You can even fill your water jugs from the very spring well that the shrine is famous for! Has a small chapel and lots of outdoor sitting areas for those who'd like to stop, pause and give thanks or ask for blessings.

I have visited her school and chapel for orphans in NYC, and appreciated the visit in Colorado. As others have said, peaceful, prayerful, an important part of the history of the United States. Go when you need a reprieve, and sanctuary from the daily grind. Appreciate breathtaking vistas.

The story how this shrine came about is so interesting and worth the read. As you climb 373 steps to the top, you are able to pray the Stations of the Cross. The view is spectacular and the large statue of Jesus at the top that can be seen for miles is beautiful. The shrine is also known for many healings.

We saw the sign for this when going to grave of buffalo bill...it is right down the road. If you are hardly, there is an enormous statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus atop a hill...or you can sit on benches in the gardens at the base of the hill and see it. There is a chapel shrine to Mother Cabrini. They also had a nice gift shop.

We were in Denver to visit our children who live there.....while they were taking us to see the grave of Buffalo Bill I saw the sign for the Mother Cabrini Shrine.....what a great find. The ride up to the shrine which is on top of a mountain was breathtaking. The shrine and gardens were a super surprise. We visited the chapel to spend a quiet moment.......then went to see the gardens. There are stairs up to a huge statue of the Sacred Heart.......it takes a bit to walk up, but you can still see it from the lower gardens if the trek up is a bit too much for you. They have a very nice gift shop where you will find all types of items..... also a section that specializes in Hispanic items. Even if you aren't Catholic.....just a nice spot to stop at for a quiet moment.

This was my Great-Grandmother's favorite place when she came from Italy to live in America. It too is my favorite place. It is a spiritual place for me. I have always loved the Mother Cabrini Shrine since I was a child. I have also went to Easter service here. I also like their gift shop and the staff is always nice. I have taken my son here and he too likes going here. I highly recommend going here. I am Catholic but everyone is welcome here to enjoy the beauty of the nature here.

This was an unexpected treat. On a whim, we went to see this shrine to Mother Cabrini. We knew very little of her before this visit, but now feel like she is an old friend. The chapel and the grounds were truly inspirational, to even non-Catholics. Nearly 600 acres were purchased by her long before this area was a hot spot. The view is hard to describe because it is beyond beauty. There is a 365 step trek to the very, very top where the large statue of the BVM is located, but it is also possible to drive on a circuitous dirt road for handicap or others unable to walk the stairs. A visit to the front desk at the gift-shop gets you the key to the gate for road access to the top. This was quite a rewarding visit.

And in the rock hills. A lovely site to experience. It's easy to find and worth the stop. So much beauty in that part of Colorado.

As a Catholic, I have been to other shrines. I'm not really a shrine kind of girl, but always touched by the demonstration of faith exhibited by pilgrims. It's quite a climb, but worth it. Study the story of Mother Cabrini and her service to the poor. She, in her time, and the sisters of her religious order make a difference in the world today.

On 1993, in preparation of the World Youth Day some young people from Codogno (Lodi dioceses) were invited to the Mother Cabrini Shrine to stay in one of the places Santa Francesca Saverio lived. I was one of them. Words cannot express the glory and the peaceful this place inspires. We came back then in 1994 for the Statue's ceremony and then again last year. We have many friends among the volunteers and we are in touch we the Sister, even in Chicago.

Mother Cabrini led a life devoted to others. I learned much more than I ever knew about her. The grounds, chapel, 373 step stairway of prayer to the statue the Scared Heart of Jesus (you can skip your gym visit to the Stairmaster if you go to the top!), gift shop, spring and grotto were all worth seeing. If you're in the Denver area, you need to visit. The nearby vistas are quite beautiful.
