My wife and I took a house guest from the West Coast to visit the numberous graves of many well known Country and Western celebrities buried at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The main one to visit was the site where Johnny and June Carter Cash are buried. Several of June's family is buried within a fews yards as well other known singers and composers. Other stars are Ferlin Husky, Merle Kilgore and Sheb Wooley.

Went there to visit Conway Twitty's burial site and pay tribute to him. Very pretty and well kept place.

We checked the area where we spent the night, and found this little treasure. The grave site of Johnny Cash, and his beloved June Carter-Cash. There wasn't a map when entering the cemetary to find these graves, so I entered the funeral home (there wasn't a service going on) and the staff were very helpful. The graves were easy to find, and are beautiful. The grounds ask that you don't trample the grass to view the graves. We also took a little walk around before leaving. This is a beautiful place.

The gravesites of these two and some other country music greats are located in this quiet cemetery which is associated with the nearby funeral home and is not heavily promoted to tourists. The gravesites are impressive and worth a visit for fans. A short walk around will locate other less well-known but interesting grave sites.
