We booked a Steelhead fishing tour with Exodus in Riggins.... They set us up with their best guide Matt. He was very experienced, knew the river, the holes, what colors the fish were active on and was friendly and sharp. We had good luck and landed some HUGE fish. His equipment was awesome and he went the extra mile to make sure we had fun. I've been on many guided fishing tours and Matt was the best...by far. I would have enjoyed myself even if the fishing was poor. The experience of the river, the mountains and nature was breathtaking. We saw deer, an otter, golden eagles and plenty of fish. Thanks Matt, keep up the great work!John and Forrest

Terrific time with Exodus's half-day raft/jetboat combo. Owner Amy enthusiastic and helpful; guide Rusty lotsa fun and great with the kids. Highly recommend the Salmon River for families; just-right rapids and warm water perfect for floating/swimming. The five-day raft/jetboat/horseback trip sound intriguing! Eat dinner in Riggins -- not a lot else in the area.

From Alison, Age 10, Niece of Debbie - Exodus was extremely fun. We went camping and white water rafting on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. The food was delicious (steak, shrimp, peach cobbler, homemade cookies, fresh fruit, blueberry pancakes, bacon, homemade chicken salad, etc.), it was exciting and relaxing depending on where on the river we were, and our guide Brett was wonderful. I fell into the river, but got up and kept going. Brett made sure the trip was full of adventure yet made sure we were safe. We all jumped into the river and had lots of fun. Brett's friends Aspen and Patience were very nice and enthusiastic. My auntie and I had lots of fun, and we got to kayak and swim. I personally loved the trip and the camping. We stayed up late and saw the stars and the milky way come out, which I don't see, living in NYC.Note from Auntie Debbie - We did the 2-day rafting/1-night camping "Sampler" trip on the Salmon River. We were really impressed at the professionalism and kindness of everyone at Exodus. Les, Amy, Brett, Jeff, etc., went out of their way to make sure we had a fabulous time. They really pulled out all the stops on the food that we felt like we were in a high end restaurant. Brett definitely has a way with a pineapple. Their safety on the river was top-notch but they really made sure that our experience was exhilarating. We highly recommend Exodus for exploring the Salmon River.

We had stopped for lunch (Back Eddy Grill) in Riggins last June, 2012 and asked about local guides. Exodus was highly recommended, so after lunch we went across the street and had a nice talk with Amy. Amy was friendly and very knowledgeable, so we decided we would return in the fall for a fishing outing. We had time available in late October, when we took a full day driftboat steelhead fishing trip with Exodus. Matt was our guide, and we enjoyed our day on the river with him. The weather was pleasant, and even though the river was running high and a little dirty, we landed a nice steelhead in the morning. The trip included sandwiches and beverages for lunch, and the thermos of hot coffee and home made (by Amy’s mother) bread was welcome at the start of the trip. The drift boat has a propane heater up front which kept the chill off our feet. Even though we didn’t catch any more fish, it was a great day. Matt moved the boat to several different holes as we went downriver, working each location trying to entice another fish to strike. When the wind picked up in the afternoon, we spent some time casting from the shore. Even if we had not caught a fish, it was a great day. We would highly recommend Matt as a guide (he also guides raft trips in the summer), and Exodus as an excellent company.

We have never met a more honest business woman. We tried to book a fishing trip, but Amy said we were there to early for the steelhead run. She said they could take us out & try their hardest, but she just didn't feel comfortable taking our money. So we booked a white-water rafting trip instead. Our guide Matt was awesome. He knew a lot about the area & was very informative. The water was low, but we still got wet in the rapids. For us first-timers, the 1/2 day trip was a perfect experience.

My son and I had a great time on our personalized float trip with Exodus! Amanda was our guide and we were treated to a great time on the river, even though the water was down a little (we were there in mid-August). We were able to swim a little, pick some fresh fruit along the way and just generally have a blast! I'd recommend Exodus to anyone wanting a great trip even if only for a few hours like we had.
