Interesting and fun to watch the large salmon. Staff is helpful with their explanations. It is also a beautiful drive to the site

Learn something new about the differences between native and hatchery raised fish every time I visit. Quite an accomplishment in bringing fish back to the rivers of the North West.

Great to watch the salmon in the pools if you are here the right time of year. There is a large grassy area with tables, fun to stop and have lunch. If someone is around they will gladly give you a tour of the Hatchery, but otherwise you are free to walk around and check out the pools. Fridays the stocked pond is open for fishing. Chances are your kids can catch a couple here and it doesn't take long. The Rapid River Trailhead takes off from here, if you have the time it is worth hiking at least a mile up the trail to check out the scenic Rapid River.

When you want to see the salmon cycle of life in action, visit the hatchery in these busy months. When you want to learn more about the salmon life cycle, visit later in the year when the staff can spend quality time taking you on a tour. Fish pond is stocked for free fishing to seniors on a given day of the week.

Very close to town. It's free & gives you an up close look at all that is involved in fish hatchery. We stood & watched the little guys jumping out of water for several minutes. Would love to be there when they are released.
