cocanana's bar & grill

The other reviewer's descriptions did not resemble in any way what we found, must be some mixup with the places. The place at the Main St. address is called Cocanana's, but it is a little bar that only offers bar food and they had hardly any of that left in their freezer. The staff was nice, but this is a little local bar that is not a place to go for dinner.

Our motel recommended this place and they were right, really good Mexican food. Big old building on the Square, easy to find, more space to fill but they have bright handpainted tables and chairs that I'm sure came from Mexican markets to brighten the space. Service was quick and while it was not fancy, it was a place we'd definitely visit again when we're in the area. Good margaritas too!

The HUGE Margarita was awesome and I would recommend getting it on the rocks for anyone that visits here. The staff was very nice and the platters were very filling with what they had. Pleasant surprise to discover the restaurant in small town Iowa.
