A typical small town Main Street, but you could almost imagine Sinclair Lewis walking around here. Interesting collection of businesses and just the place to spend a week end. The leaves were turning too and that just added to the charm!

A very pretty community. I was impressed enough just driving through that I would consider coming to spend more time there!

Nice place to visit with small shops, libary, movie theater from the 50's that been rehabed, lots of churchs. Many things to do and see in the town.

If you are a literary buff, visit Main Street. This is the title of a book authored by Sauk Centre's own Sinclair Lewis. The Palmer House Hotel and Restaurant is a must stop. Very charming. The movie theater in this town probably has the original signage as well. Beautiful little churches and the park is very nice. There is a band shell for Wednesday night concerts in the summer. It is part of a nice little park and campground. However, Sauk Lake is often very weedy.Perhaps that is okay if you are a fisherman. Don't expect to swim there.

Great little shops all around the town. Beautiful parks all clean and tidy. The people of Sauk Centre really care about their town. The old fashioned movie theatre is great. But they have no weekday matinees which would draw us to this town more often. The chinese restaurant used to be bad but has been purchased by another owner and the food is exceptional.
