We had such a great time with the guys at Northern Waters - they set just the right tone and all of us had a blast. From the timid 9 year old to the intreped 12 year old and my husband and I they hit all the right marks. We did the three hour rafting - and all finished with their kayaks - super fun.Excellent introduction to class 2 - the water was warm Todd was awesome and we had a blast. We will be back for the next level!

We had a total blast with Northern Waters. It's a seasoned crew of genuinely nice, friendly people who are not hampered by tons of competition. They've been doing the river for a long time and are happy to help you have a great experience. They have good equipment and good prices. We took a two-day kayaking lesson with Alex Toth, a well-known racer in his own right, but who's really great with people. He knows the river, he made us feel safe as we trained and challenged us to go a little beyond. It was great! And there are plenty of campgrounds (including their own) and cabins in the area. Don't expect Starbucks, the Comfort Inn or cell service. Errol is a small town where everything closes at 7 pm. It's a real getaway with awesome natural beauty.

Went with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. We had a friendly helpful guide. We saw so many eagles we lost count. Also saw heron, ducks, some giant fish (hmmm, I think trout?) and the highlight was moose cow who posed for pictures for us for quite some time. For 35.00 per person and a a 3 hour ride, was well worth it.I'd go again for sure!

My family went to Northern Waters this summer for a rafting trip. We have an eight year old daughter, and this was a perfect trip for her. We all got wet, had fun, and the staff catered to what we needed. Our guide was funny and helpful, and my husband loved getting into a "duckie" to paddle the rapids. I was surprised they had a nice riverside campground. The campground is simple without many luxuries, but it is right on the river and very pretty. We will stay there next time. We saw many people out enjoying the whitewater, so it looks like people flock to Errol to enjoy the rapids. I would recommend this trip to any family looking to have a great time. We will be back, and we are thinking of doing one of their trips into the wildlife refuge next time.

I recently went rafting at Northern Waters and had the time of my life! The staff was so friendly and helpful to a first time rafter! The rustic facility and down home attitudes just made our whole family's vacation! I would recommend this to anyone!!!

In August 2009 I booked a pontoon boat tour of Lake Umbagog in Error NH with Northern Waters for $100. They decided to close for the season the day before my boat tour and cancelled my tour saying they'd refund my credit card. It's now October 23 and after repeated emails & phone calls and one promise to refund it "tomorrow" weeks ago, I'm still waiting for my refund! Buyer beware!
