It is an experience just to walk through, but more fun to indulge in the purchase of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, pies, etc. I stopped in here to buy supplies for a dinner at home. I purchased lovely fresh fish and scallops at the fish counter. The fruit and vegetables are always great. The pie was also a great hit with my guests. Wish I lived closer!

I frequently visit Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck New jersey. My most recent visit was the day before Thanksgiving and the place was mobbed. The staff was well organized and very polite. The emplyees made sure everything was stocked properly and the customers were happy. I recommend visit this hidden gem next time you visit the Jersey Shore. I made a video of my visit for you to enjoy. http://youtu.be/M6qWLhhxZqI

Fresh produce and other products. Famous for its pies, especially Apple Pie at Thanksgiving. It is always crowded but the checkout line is so efficient that there is hardly a wait. Recommend for every week or special occasion staples and delicacies. Don't forget the Apple Pie.

I've been visiting DO for seven years now, and I'm never disappointed. It's fresh, delicious & has that perfect charm for a high end fruit market.I've been on tours inside their immaculate kitchens. The staff are dedicated and very knowledge. This is my go to place for everything fresh. The pies are to die for and are worth waiting for during the holidays. It's a must anytime of the year! I sometimes feel like it's a historic place that makes the charm of yesteryear come alive. Maybe that sounds corny or too idyllic. But visit Delicious Orchards....you'll be a follower too!It really is a delicious orchard.

I am absolutely in love with Delicious Orchards. I have been going here since I was a kid with my parents. As it is a specialty food store, you are going to pay more for the food (especially the deli counter), but believe me, it is worth it. Nothing beats there fresh fruit and vegetables. I swear I buy peppers there and they last for 2 weeks in the fridge. They have a big variety of apples, peaches and other tree fruit. Their yams are enormous. But besides all the delicious goodness of the fresh produce (which is usually my main reason for going there), we gotta talk about their bakery. Their pies are outstanding. I always pick up one of their pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. Also, get their Irish Soda Bread come St. Patty's Day; it is really good. Whenever you need to bring a dessert to a family gathering, Delicious Orchards has got you covered. So after years and years of coming here, I am finally writing a review because of my new discoveries on my latest trip there. First, they have a varied selection of really good bacon. I picked up a package of maple cured bacon and it was to die for. Secondly, I was looking to make an apple crisp dessert for a holiday party. They have these pre-made mixes that all you do is add to fruit to it and you have a home made apple crisp, or a pumpkin pie, or a cobbler. Very helpful for someone who doesn't have a lot of time to bake but likes a homemade dessert. My advice: don't just concentrate on the fresh produce and bakery counter; look into all the specialty items they have lining the walls. There are a lot of good finds there!

But it saddens me to say the pies have gone downhill. I live fairly close by but had not been here for quite awhile. Husband wanted pie for his birthday and he picked out apple. The pie was soggy and apples undercooked. Needles to say after one slice it went into the garbage. Next day went to Twin Ponds in Howell and got a warm delicious pie.

This is not a restaurant but a upscale fruit stand. Excellent quality. Great in the fall. They sell excellent smoked bacon as well.

I live in Colts neck and there are not many places to shop for fresh food, actually the supermarkets in the area are very disappointing. BUT Delicious Orchards is great! I like to get there early in the morning on the weekends before the crowds start ( and trust me apple picking time, pumpkin time, and thanksgiving time can get very crowded!) You have very good bakery products, nice size cheese department, a deli with everything you could want ( love there specialty burgers in the summer!) and they even have a fresh fish department now! And of course you have all the fresh vegies and fruit you could want. Im not a pie person, but from what i am told they are a must...go and try one!

Such a great variety of fruit, especially apples. Produce section is top notch. Just don't go there hungry. Eat first! Then go. Otherwise, bring lots of cash because you'll buy things you probably don't need. Can't say how many times I've done this!!!

From when you enter the pies and bakery items are delicious. Never been disappointed. The fruits and vegetables are exceptional, never came home with something that was rotten or bad. My girls love the fresh peanut butter. Would recommend to at least visit once, I am sure you will return again.

I've been going to Delicious Orchards for over 40 years, and it is still a wonderful experience. Superb quality and selection throughout the store, but especially the produce department and bakery.A must do as a Central Jersey shopping experience

Any review of Delicious Orchards has to start with these two words. The pies! They are out of this world! You'll have a hard time choosing and you'll want to take home one of each!Apple, apple crumb, blueberry, peach, cherry, strawberry rhubard, coconut custard, pumpkin, and my all time favorite, pecan pie; sweet, yes, but not artificial tasting, and topped with a generous amount of premium pecans! It's not Thanksgiving without one. (Expect long lines during the holidays, but you can shorten the waiting time by arriving early in the morning) Then, there's these three words. Apple cider donuts! When they're fresh, especially, you won't find a better donut of its kind - splurge and get the ones with sprinkled sugar on top. If pie and donuts aren't your thing (you're missing out!) but you can also choose from decorated butter cream and whipped cream cakes, as well. Once you've secured your pies, you'll want to head over to the produce section. Delicious Orchards started out as an apple orchard and you will still find some of the most beautiful fruits and vegetables here, hands down. They have over 20 varieties of apples to choose from. You won't believe the size and taste of the fresh fruits and vegetables. You'll pay a price for them, but you'll see and taste the difference. There's a very nice cheese section, too, with imported cheeses from around the world, a fresh seafood section, deli, prepared foods and gourmet grocery items, too. Their organic department is larger than most. In short, Delicious Orchards is a New Jersey staple where you'll find the best produce and pies! That's really what you'll make the ride for! And if you can't, visit them online and try out their specialities via mail order. It's almost just as good!

Delicious Orchards is one of those places in Central Jersey that you go out of your way for. Their pies are outstanding, as are any of their cakes, donuts and cookies. The fruits and vegetables are undoubtedly the freshest, cleanest and most appetizing of any place I have visited in NJ. They have an extensive organic selection, and their homemade juices are top of the line. The downside I have found is in their prepared foods, which look mouth watering but just don't live up to, in taste, as to how good they look. All in all, they are pricey but worth going to.

Apple picking, apple cider, apple cider donuts = wonderful memories of many a trip made here as a child with my family. Years later you can still get all 3 and much more. The lovely plants outside and just inside the door welcome you into a huge selection of bakery items including cookies, cakes and pies for days. Also offered is a wonderful selection of cheese, fruit and vegetables, prepared foods and meats, a whole room of candy, coffee and tea. And the largest selection of dried fruits and nuts that I've ever seen. They also have an outdoor cafe with tables where you can also order sandwiches, pastry, coffee and ice cream to sit and enjoy outside. But if you can, go during the week or as soon as they open in the morning. It can get frustratingly crowded. The big grocery size shopping carts don't help. Summer and pre-holiday shopping weekends can be hell. Maybe that's why the staff - sadly - all look miserable.
