Over priced, dirty, poorly managed and bad customer service. I live within walking distance and I would rather drive 20-30 minutes to go elsewhere. I gave Loews another chance today only because a free screening was being offered. After waiting an hour while peoples purses were searched and a few customers were allowed in at a time, we were turned away due to space. Gofobo, an unaffiliated company, offered free tickets for a screening. The representative from Gofobo stated that over 500 tickets had been issued (and were still listed as available online) however, the theater held less than 200! I asked for the theater manager. What a waste of time. The only response the manager gave was, "OK" to everything I said. Not, I am sorry for the confusion or sorry for your wasted time. Not I understand why you would be upset. The manager, "Nicole", simply starred at me and said, "OK" several times and "go tell the Gofobo representative". No Nicole, it is not okay that I paid a babysitter to watch my infant so I could go out in the cold and pouring rain only to be told to leave my email address for future screenings because there was no seating left. We had to have tickets for this event! I understand that Loews did not issue the tickets and that Loews did not organize the screening but when you choose to host an event for a company who poorly runs their business it is a bad reflection on you as well. A simple, "sorry for the inconvenience" would have been nice but the manager of Loews was anything but empathetic. I sure do feel bad for the staff. If she treats customers that poorly I can only imagine how the staff must be treated. My guess based on what I saw and what the Gofobo rep stated is that 200+ customers were turned away. Many who had already made purchases at the concession stand not realizing they would be turned away. Just to be clear, I do not blame Loews for the mix-up. However, the terrible treatment we received from the Loews manager paired with previous bad experiences with the theaters cleanliness has caused them to loose my family as future customers. We will not go back, not even for a free screening. After googling what other reviewers have said about Loews and reading through the responses on my blog about today, I see I am far from alone in my disgust.
