If you like old stories this is the place for you. Loved the animated people. Parking accessible. You can walk down to the river where there is no parking on the street.

Mr. Glover met us at the door & showed us around the first floor. He is a very interesting character & we enjoyed hearing about his memorabilia.

Jack was at the museum and it was great to meet him. The museum needs some organization. The Remington sculptures in another building were amazing.

With a stop in Wimberly, Tx a wonderful place to visit, by talking with a shop owner, my son and I discovered that there was a old time country town set up close by. It is called Pioneer Town and a must see Cowboy & Indian Museum. The star of the museum is Jack Glover a real special cowboy and historian. For myself at 66 and my son now nearly 44 this was a once in a lifetime experience. We enjoyed our time with Jack and will treasure the experiance for the rest of our years.Thank you Jack for every thing you have done to make this such a special place.Doug Stalker visitor from Chatham, NY

a must visit when in the area. we sometime just visit only to say hi to old Jack. He is a museum all by himself

Visited 4/19/14. Walking around looking at some very interesting things, all of a sudden this older gentleman (who looked like this "Jack guy" that I had seen in some pictures) came up to me and started pointing out things of interest. Started a conversation and found out it was Jack Glover! Really good to talk to him and listen to some of his stories! His wife said he had his 90th birthday last month.

I live in Wimberley and LOVE spending time with him as I did last night 3/1/14 . Rocky O from Wichita Falls who wrote that he is gone is incorrect unless I hugged a ghost last night. Well worth going to see Jack and his wonderful collection of things and best of all , stories .

Visit the Cowboy Museum and spend an hour or two talking with Jack Glover...best entertainment deal in Wimberley! When you first walk in the museum looks more like a dusty tourist trap, but the back rooms are packed with interesting artifacts and memorabilia that Jack (soon to turn 90 years old) has collected during his long and colorful life. He is a Son of the Republic of Texas, he served with the Flying Tigers and later flew in B-17s during WWII, has had dealings and relationships with many famous or notorious cowboys and athletes, and has had a long and varied career as an artist and collector, and he's happy to share his history and memories with his visitors. His engaging and entertaining personality will charm just about anyone. No charge to visit the museum, but it would take a cold heart not to leave a donation to support the museum.

We were in Wimberley this weekend and happened to find Pioneer Town where Jack's museum is located.I am very happy to say that Jack is still very much alive and well. He will be 90 in February but still gets around very well and is one of the most interesting people I have ever met. I could sit and listen to him talk for hours about anything. He has seen more changes in his lifetime than most of us will ever dream of and has stories to tell about most of them. His museum is a MUST see. It costs nothing to enter but there is a donation box. After seeing all that he has collected and put on display and listening to his stories, you can't help but feel compelled to want to fill that box.My wife and I went on Friday and were the only people there. We thought we would go in for a quick look. We must have stayed for 2 hours and went back on Saturday to see Jack again. If you go plan on staying a while, you will be glad you did. Jack has a way of making everyone a friend. I will definitely stop in to see him every time I can.

This museum is 100% worth the time to find and stop at. Jack has shared so much of his life and history in so many artifacts, it's seemingly endless! Pictures, letters, cow heads, barbed wire collection, Indian history, guns, American robbery history.. It goes on and on! Meeting jack was like stepping back in time and he has a story for every piece. 4 rooms filled with old country history all the way back to the 1800's! You will easily spend an hour here and love it.. He's still got a great sense of humour and joked with us. It was so classic him rocking in his chair, drinking a beer and listening to country from what seemed like the 30's. We are so happy we stopped! Check it out before it's not around!

This place is fascinating. It's even better to have Jack tell his tales and narrate as you go. He is the real treasure in this joint. We hadn't even planned on going in, but we did and it was a highlight. If you like archeology, Texas history, Native American history, and raconteurs - you will enjoy your time here.

My wife and I used to go by this place on US Texas 287 outside of Bowie Texas years ago when we would go to Dallas, We stopped in one day back in the 70's and talk to this old timer named Jack Glover who is dead now but anyway he was one of the few people that knew how to pronounce our last name, I asked him how he knew that and he said he had met my aunts some year sooner and showed us there names on his guest book so we signed it too, We talked a while and looked around his store/museum and we bought this Indian prayer that he had composed and he signed it and numbered it, it was copy 83 of just 100 he had printed. I stile have and will for a long time to come. I really liked that old guy and miss his place on the high way, I always look up there when we drive by and have wondered what happened to it.RIP Jack...Your friend....Rocky and Vickey Oechsner

we did not plan to visit this museum but kinda dropped in when we visited the 7A ranch. It sure had much history and lots to look at. I am not of a history buff but if anyone is this is surely a place to visit.

This was a surprising and extremely interesting stop. Mr. Glover was very interesting to talk to and the museum has a lot of unusual items. My wife and I spent a couple of hours at the old western town and most of it in the museum. This is a must see if you're ever in Wimberly!
