Attended a late December wedding at the Red Corral Ranch near Wimberley, TX. The ceremony was outdoors with the temp in the low 50s. Only the bridesmaids and the parson looked really cold. Fortunately, before the ceremony began a large room next to the outdoor chapel (probably for weddings in inclement weather) was open with hot cider offered, so everyone stayed warm until time for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony itself was beautiful. Aren't all weddings? Had a few peacocks roaming the grounds to add some color. The entire grounds were well landscaped (even in winter) with live oaks and other hardy plants. The reception/dinner was in the big red barn up the hill from the outdoor chapel. Don't try to walk it, too far and too steep. There is plenty of parking both at the ceremony site and up at the reception barn. The bbq with all the trimmings was great. Red Corral doesn’t cater the meal, but has a long list of recommended-by-brides, etc. vendors. Not sure which vendor did the catering, but as mentioned above, the food was great.
