We dined here for Valentine's Day, on the Friday before since it was booked on Valentine's Day. We had just found out about Justine's Steakhouse and decided to try it for something different. It did not disappoint. The menu was very limited, but was very adequate and nothing disappointed. We do not drink alcohol, so we skipped the complimentary wine. The date appetizer was surprisingly good and the steak was so tender we were able to use a regular "butter knife" instead of the normal huge steak knife. The salads were fresh and while the red velvet cake was a little dry, it was still good. The atmosphere was great and our server was excellent! We will definitely be back!

We tried it for a special birthday! The wine and steak did not disappoint us. Not many people there on a weeknight. My guess is this little gem hasn't been discovered by the masses yet! It is a great experience and very well laid out! We will definitely be back!

I do not normally write posts on social media but was looking up information on Mitas Vineyard to pass along to a friend, found the posts here. My fiance and I looked at this beautiful vineyard for our wedding earlier this summer. Cricket Killingsworth was the person who was the main reasons we wanted to have our wedding there. She came in on her day off to show us the facility, gave us a wonderful tour of the grounds, She shared great information, was very knowledgeable and passionate about her job and the vineyard. She is a family member but does not live on the compound. She made us feel like we were family too! We did not choose the vineyard because the owners of Mitas Vineyard did not have menus or food pricing finalized but still wanted a non refundable deposit of $1,000 dollars. They also did not know if they would or would not allow alcohol at that time and also could not tell us other important planning answers needed for us. We are sure it would have been beautiful and were very confident Cricket was organized, professional and kind, it was the owners who were not yet ready or organized. We now live out of state but hope to visit the vineyard and steak house restaurant when visiting family in Texas. The person who said they cancelled their tour of the vineyard but complained about the website and coordinator missed out, it is a beautiful place and after working out the kinks we are sure the owners will be more organized.Jake Phillpps

Delightful evening in McKinney, TX tonight with the family. Delicious pizza on the patio with a variety of tapas treats and a view to remember! Will be back. Would love to go during the day with my girlfriends if they even open - during the week! Will be back for sure and recommend to others! Loved it!

Mitas Hill Vineyard was definitely at the top of our list for places to have our wedding.I requested information about the venue from Cricket Killingsworth (the coordinator).Right from the beginning, I noticed a delay in email response.I understand being busy, but really how hard is it to respond to a few questions. We went ahead and scheduled a tour.I tried to look beyond Crickets lack of responses to emails and un organization. To make a long story short, we ended up booking with a different venue. However, I emailed Cricket canceling our tour appointment.I mentioned in the email that my fiancé and I would like to have a romantic "getaway" weekend in October. We would like to stay at the vineyard.I asked her to send me information on the room pricing and availability.NO RESPONSE.The website does not have the pricing information for the rooms. Also, no way to book a room on the website.I am glad that we booked at a different venue.I have a type A personality.Cricket definitely does not meet my standards of being professional, energetic or helpful.

There is a magical vineyard and winery tucked away in the countryside near McKinney, Texas called Mitas Hill Vineyard. Upon entering the stone and iron gated entrance you begin to feel like you are in Sonoma as you drive past mature grape vines on your drive to the Tasting Room. The current Tasting Room is located on a hill that overlooks the vineyard and is adjacent to a beautiful rock swimming pool with water cascading over a waterfall. The tour began with the owners son who has a love of the family vineyard and the wines they make. The tour will take you all the way from planting to bottling to sampling in a way that I have not experienced anywhere in Texas. And to date, I have toured about 80% of the wineries in Texas. And Mitas Hill's wines are truly magical. The tasting started off with their red blend. It has great body, a complex taste due to careful blending, that is rich in texture and flavor. Their Syrah was next, and the Syrah is amazing. It's nose is captivating. It's color beautiful. Fruit forward and complex character. This is a must have for your cellar. Their Cabernet followed with a beautiful color of rose (They even call it Rose). It is a light bodied cabernet that captures all of the essences of a great cabernet without being powerful. Their Tempranillo was next with a light and spicy beginning, a light smokey mouth feel, and a light pepper finish. If you think tempranillos are too bold, you must try this Tempranillo. Their Zinfandel followed, and this is a Zinfandel that you will never forget. It's berry & floral nose will capture your senses. It's taste will leave you wondering exactly how many wonderful flavors are teasing your senses. Cognac, plum and raisin dance in your mouth. It's finish is brilliant. Another to stock up on for your cellar and buy for your friends. Their Black Gypsy was next, and is not to be missed. It is made from the venus grape, which is oh so rare. It is semi sweet with flavors of melons, papayas and watermelon. This is the perfect wine to drink after a long hot summer day. The tasting concluded with their Squeeze Penny, which is a delightful after dinner wine. It's chocolate nose is calming with tastes of cherries, coffee and dark chocolate. And did I mention that all of their wines are paired with amazing morsels from their kitchen that only make their wines even more special? I am told that come June of 2014 they will have their new subterrainian wine processing facility and an award winning wine tasting facility open that will be perched on the highest hill on their property. It will truly be the grand dame in North Texas wineries when the new facility is opened. Do yourself a favor and make a bee line as soon as you can to Mitas Hill. The Mitas Family will charm you, and I am quite sure you will have found a winery in North Texas that you will love.

Found a great place near Mckinney ,Texas for trying new cultivars of wine.Wine tasting followed a trip through the different vineyards, with a bit of explanation of how the process works. Then the wine tasting pairing the wines with foods , gives one great ideas for serving .The owner Mr.Harold Mitas was very informative and has quite a sense of humour, in fact the whole family were very hospitable and friendly. This vineyard will next year have a conference and wedding centre , so it is right on the doorstep for Dallas. As we live in Capetown , South Africa..it was interesting to learn and taste new cultivars of grapes.
