My husband, Mack Rowe, is fortunate enough to have a whole wall of his watercolors displayed in the first room you enter at the Warehouse Art Gallery in Luray, Virginia. We found the owner so congenial to work with and talk to while hanging my husband's art, and we enjoy every visit we've made to this gallery. The Art Warehouse offers every kind of art you can imagine - photographs, watercolors, oil paintings, wearable art, lots of beautiful jewelry, books, crafts, sculptures and unique birdhouses. It would be hard to leave without some goodie you feel you can't live without. Last winter, I purchased a beautiful birdhouse snowscene photograph I will be displaying from now on every winter in our home. The Art Warehouse hosts a large group of artists who meet periodically to compare notes and work with each other. The gallery is an ever-changing concern so every time you go you will find something new in this huge venu. We've been exploring the Art Warehouse for years, and never miss eating breakfast or lunch at nearby Gathering Grounds Cafe. We also enjoy visiting Hunt and Peck, just across the street, which offers ever-changing antiques, collectibles and books they cull from local auctions. If you want to spend a fun time wandering through this huge venu viewing all types of art, stop by the Art Warehouse and enjoy a couple of hours. I promise you'll be glad you did!

We weren't sure what to expect when we went in, but we ended up spending a long while wandering around and viewing the art. It was too expensive for us to ever consider purchasing anything, but it was all interesting. There were some exhibits that would be at home in a horror movie, some that were country inspired, modern, tribal, a little bit of everything. There are paintings, sculptures, furniture, jewelry, etc. It was very low-pressure too which was nice, the workers were friendly but not pushy.

Huge warehouse of local arts and crafts. Luray has a wonderful art initiative and Art Warehouse is the cornerstone. Great way to support to the community.

Pleasant, homey atmosphere. Varied artwork in many mediums--paintings, sculptures, chairs & tables, jewelry, note cards--in a variety of sizes, prices, and styles. Literally, something for everyone. And the people who work there are very friendly, but not pushy.

My wife and i were visiting Luray and had been to the Warehouse Arts Center years ago when they were just starting out. Let me just say WOW(!)have they grown up! There was a wide array of art for every taste and it was.diaplayed beautifully in the very cool warehouse. We werent intending to buy art but couldnt resist purchasing a wonderful painting for our anniversary.

Great variety of artwork for every taste and budget. From extra large sculpted pieces to furniture, jewelry, pottery, photography. All done by local artists or artists with a local connection. Ultra modern, classic styles, as wide a variety as you could imagine. The lady running it was very nice, not at all pushy. The interior of the building is terrific as well.

I wasn't expecting the range of art they have in here. Don't just stop in the little shop at the front door...keep going! Metal sculpture, clothing, jewelry, chairs made from leather belts! and lots of painted artworks. Very interesting pieces throughout.

This is one of our favorite places to stop when we visit Luray. It is located in an old warehouse, and has many rooms filled with paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, stained glass and more. I think most of them are by local or regional artists. This is one of the most unusual galleries I have ever been in, because of the variety of media, styles, and prices (which range from something I can afford to what looks to me like world-class art.)We've been visiting Luray several times a year now since 2006, and the quality of the art work seems to get better every year. I like the beautiful floral paintings, my husband likes the photography and sculpture, and our now college age children always enjoyed the funky things that are scattered throughout the gallery. The gallery is about a block off of Main Street across from the Visitor Center. The main office is heated and has AC, but the warehouse part can get cold during the winter so bring your coat. The only complaint I have is that the hours fluctuate, particularly in the winter, so call first to see if they are open.
