Lovely museum, well organized and full of informations from indians native to II World War. Even the buildings it's an old "european style" that make you feel into a lovely library. Great!

I went looking for genealogical info. The staff was extremely helpful and efficient. They found exactly what I needed, and copied papers for me. It is well organized.

Very interesting visit. Many varying exhibits that are constantly being change. Includes an exhibit honoring "The Bedford Boys". You could visit every month and not see the same things. Around the holidays the museum has a model train setup.

The genealogy portion of the museum is full of useful information about past Bedford residents. Most helpful, though, is the excellent staff. They blew me away with their knowledge and the speed with which they uncovered clues that I had been seeking for weeks.

If you looking for clues to your family history, information on native Americans, wars, local history, this museum has it all. I've used their facilities for geneology and local history. My grandkids & I visit during the Christmas holiday season to see the wonderful trains on display at that time. Don't let it's small size deceive you, it's loaded with displays & info and some friendly folks ready to help you enjoy all it has to offer. Check out their website for more info and special events.

Our favorite time of year to visit the museum is between Thanksgiving and the New Year because on the top floor they set up a large model train display that is a little interactive. My son is two and really enjoys seeing all the trains.

We had about a hour in the Museum and could of stayed longer, my mother knew one of the Bedford soldiers killed during the Battle for Normandy (Charles Fizer) when she lived in Ivybridge in Devon England and we found his photo on the wall, which was very nice. If you are interested in D Day, US Civil war or the town of Bedford it is well worth a visit.

The Bedford Museum & Genealogical Library is a real gem. Yes, it is small, but it has a nice collection. Admission cost is by donation. The Genealogical Library is available for research (donation requested) and the staff is helpful. If you are only doing the museum, 1-2 hours is plenty. If you are doing research, you'll want more time.
