We have been here several times. It's a beautiful place, well worth the stop. The staff are ok, sometimes not so friendly but they have to put up with quite a large crowd. We were there once when there were several tour busses arrive & it took us over an hour to order food & 20 min more to receive it. I'll not stop again when it's that crowded. Go when the crowd is down a bit. It's beautiful there though, worth seeing.

We were doing a tour of the wineries and stopped here. They have a large variety of wines. They give a good amount for tasting and you can sit at a table by the fire and enjoy the tasting before moving on to the next wine. They also have a brewery which we went to. They have both beer and moonshine. It is more like a sports bar but not noisy or loud. If you like beer try it too.

Huge facility on a beautiful piece of property. They spared no expense building this facility and setting it up as a world class winery and destination.

It was very disappointing to visit Crown Valley Winery just after we had been to Chaumette Winery. Crown Valley is very large and clearly designed to accommodate a lot of people. The tasting staff were not very engaged and I felt like we were on an assembly line. The wines were so-so. We ate lunch there and the food was very average, nothing interesting or even very good. This was not worth the time.

My parents, my wife and I drove down from St. Louis on a Wednesday in November to visit some wineries in the area. We puposely slotted Crown Valley at the end of our itinerary because they were open the latest (as indicated by their brochure, their sign at the gate and their sign on the door, all of which indicated Nov - Dec hours of 11 - 6). We arrived at 5 as an employee was locking up. She said, "Very few people ever come here after 5". I responded politely, yet feeling perturbed, "Then please tell your management that if they don't want to serve people after 5 to CHANGE THEIR PUBLICALLY DISCLOSED HOURS!"

A nice corporate winery, but their tasting staff was not very educated. Had to look at cheat sheets for everything and, on a dead Wednesday, had to serve you as if 100 people were there... using their coin system. Not very personable. Their policy of charging you initially for the glass and then giving you $2 back at end is a odd, confusing, and a pain.

We had our daughter's wedding their and ended up very happy experience. Staff very helpful and nice to everyone. Food and wine were good. The event planner was very good at her job.

My sister & husband took us here and were very suprized with the size and views from the winery deck. Great scenery ..hard to believe such a grand place is out in wilderness.

We stopped here on our self guided wine tour. We enjoyed seeing the wine vats, they had nice entertainment, very relaxing. Came home with some chocolate wine after a free sampling of their chocolate peppermint wine it was a little too peppermint for our taste, so we opted for the milk chocolate and chocolate turtle for something really different for us.

We had a wonderful time at the winery. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our wine out on the huge deck/patio overlooking the beautiful countryside while the band played in the nearby pavilion.

I gave it one up from "terrible" only because it's a pretty place and it's clean. The wine tasting was awful, the girls working behind the counter had only been there for 2 days and could tell us NOTHING about any of the wines, but, that's ok, because each and every one of the wines we tasted was absolutely awful. We gave away what drink tokens we had left. Ick. We also went on the walking tour, and, consequently, learned nothing there either. This was our first stop. Luckily, our next stop, Chaumette, was AMAZING. Save your time, don't bother going here.

While this is a beautiful facility it is so commercialized that they take the fun out of it. The wine is marginal and their tasting fee is way overpriced. Two tasting levels if you want to taste their dry wines you have to pay for the special tasting. They don't miss a trick to put their hands in your pocket. Fun suckers! We will not be back. There are too many good & fun wineries in the area to go here.

The ambiance of this winery was great. The grounds, the patio, the furniture and the cleanliness was top notch. The wine tasting costs $5 per person which is cheap compared to most wine tastings. I'm not a wine expert so I can't say excellent or not. My wife has a better idea than I do and she enjoyed the wine very much. We prefer the dry so we didn't try any of the sweet wines. It's an excellent venue and it's a great place to have a party or a wedding.Only downside is the twisty windy road we traveled from Ste Genevieve. It took about 30 minutes.

the place is pretty but i cannot comment on the wines as their were too many hoops to jump through in order to do a tasting to figure out what bottle i'd like to buy.Their sangrias were super sweet and lacked a single piece of fruit.

I worked with AnnDee at the winery for a group tour of the Tiger Sanctuary and then lunch at the winery. The tiger tour was amazing and a must see for any animal lover. The winery was just beautiful! The building and grounds are impeccably kept. The service was very friendly and very helpful. The wines were amazing and the food even better. Our group included 28 people of all ages including children. Everyone commented that they will be back on their own and can't wait for another group outing in the fall! The bison burger was juicy and full of flavor. The grilled chicken salad was huge and delicious! We did a standard wine tasting which gives you 5 generous samples. While we did sweet at my table others did do the dry and loved them.If you like sweet a must try is the Peach! It was like biting into a ripe summer peach! Amazing! The pink sparking Mascato was just as good. We did try two ports. While not my thing (a bit to dry and strong for me) others at my table said they were two if the best they have ever had.The drive to this winery is worth it! Beautiful rolling hills and the vineyard view with the bison herd is a view you could spend all day enjoying.Give this winery a try! You won't be disappointed!
