While I'm sure it's a lot of work, Jennifer and Don would appear to be "living the dream". This establishment offers wine tastings on wines sourced from all over the globe. Select a wine to your taste and catch-up with friends in a number of private, themed cubby holes on 3 floors or the old house's porches and patios for that matter. Or, you can join the group in the group tasting room to share your love of wine. Beer tasting is also available and I gather quite popularYou can buy bottled wine & beer to take home along with accessories, cheese....typical of wine country tasting roomsConsignment art also available in basement gallery rooms to offer a different vibeGreat fun

Took my girlfriend there for our first visit and we loved it! Small but very nice and cozy. The wines were awesome and the snacks with them...GREAT! Since march madness is going on they do a wine madness bracket which is kind of fun! Needless to say this is not our last time there either! Most of the people that were coming in they knew so I assume they are part of the wine club which is what we might end up doing! Must check it out!

We are not the owners of Wines by Jennifer (WBJ) but we have been members of their wine club since the first day they opened so we feel like we own the place. Jennifer and Don are the nicest people you would ever want to meet and they are totally dedicated to making your visit an experience you will not forget. They have also traveled around the country and the world to expand their wine knowledge and are more than willing to share that knowledge with their customers. As you can tell by the other reviews, this place has very few, if any, negatives. If you love wine, they have wines that cannot be found anywhere else in Kansas City. They have daily tastings (note, they are closed on Sunday and Monday) that you can pay a little extra and get a very nice signature glass to take home with you. We use our WBJ wine glasses every day we have wine. Jennifer and Don have taken one of the old houses on Main Street in Parkville, MO, and turned it into a one-of-kind wine boutique. There selection of beer is unique and a heaven for any beer drinker. They have great meats, cheeses and crackers to have with the wine. Ask for their fresh baked bread, you will want to order more. As mentioned, they have seating areas all over their three level house plus a very nice patio in back and a front poach that gives you the feel of old Parkville. You can have your little corner of WBJ or share the experience with others. The big question is how they got the grand piano on the top floor. The only way up is a very narrow stairs that is about a fourth the size of the piano. Jennifer has never told us how she did it. You are always welcome at WBJ and it is the perfect place for a “date night”!

My husband and I are regulars at WBJ and have been members of their wine club for years. The friendly staff always welcome us with a smile, the cozy atmosphere is comfortable, and the wine selection is excellent. We usually do a tasting in the tasting room, and then retire to the porch to order a glass (or a bottle!), some cheese, and just sit and visit. It's a pleasant "date night" alternative to a big meal at a restaurant or going out to the bars. Their events are fun (though some seem over-priced). It can get busy on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer, which can spread the staff somewhat thin, but they try their best. A great place to go as a couple or with friends - we love Wines by Jennifer!

I do not drink. However I do cook with wine. I came here with wine drinking friends and had a good time. I was able to join the conversation with the host by speaking about cooking. The atmosphere is quaint and adds to the fun.

Always looking for a wine tasting when traveling, Wines by Jennifer is easy to find online and is housed in a quaint neighborhood in Parkville. I took my mom, then enjoyed myself again with friends on New Year's. The gallery downstairs is intimate and adorned with local talent. I look forward to seeing Jennifer again on my next visit.

This is a wine shop in a historic house, each room decorated to reflect a different wine region around the world. They have tastings all day long, and an opportunity to buy cheese, olives, chocolate (!) while tasting. You can also buy wine by the glass or bottle. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, including a very charming outdoor grape arbor. If you're near here, it's a must-go!

We stopped in and Don, one of the owners, gave us a run down of the business. A great place with many different wines. We did a wine tasting. Also, they have a ton of great craft beer. Each room is dedicated to a different wine region/country. Art Gallery downstairs.

Wines by Jennifer is an excellent place to enjoy a delicious glass of wine and relax. Owners Jennifer and Don really know their wines. While they do carry high end, expensive bottles from all over the world, they put a lot of effort into finding wines that taste fabulous and are in the price range of $20-$40 a bottle. Jennifer and Don can help you pick out vintages that make excellent gifts, especially if it's for a wine connoisseur. The shop is an old 3 story house with lots of character. There is an enclosed back deck that is open when weather permits. Throughout the shop they have arranged lounge areas that, amazingly, allow for private conversation while still being in the middle of the stores hustle and bustle. We enjoyed sitting upstairs in the 'piano nook', people watching those outside through the window and just hanging out with friends. They always have servers standing by to refill your glass or bring you more snacks. They have a menu with fruits, cheeses and other light snacks that varies slightly from week to weak. The shop sells everything from interesting crackers to packaged cheeses (including local artisans), jellies, spice rubs and marinades, wine glasses and even wine-themed t-shirts. Try the morel infused white cheese they sell from their cooler. Genius. They also stock artisan style beers from all over the world that are of all flavors and alcohol levels. In the basement, the walls and shelves are adorned with arts and crafts from local artisans. All of them are for sale and the artist(s) change every few months. It's a very relaxing atmosphere. We love the place.
