This is one of three museums together at Ft. Leonard Wood Military Base. Be sure to see all of them when your there. There is alot of neat items and information about what the chem 'guys' do. Very informative for all.

This museum was amazing. Learned so much about the Army Chemical Corps. Was worth the trip. The only complaint was that the museum was open until 4 pm but the gift shop closed at 12 noon. We were not notified of this when we entered the museum and when we finished the tour the gift shop was closed.

Who would have known that in 1973 when I became an MP at Ft. Gordon, GA that I would someday become a Chemicals Specialist. There is a lot to see in the Chemical Corps museum. It became a Corps in 1918. You will see the evolution of the chemical mask. You will see the detection equipment and changes over the years. You will learn about the glory years of the Corps and the dark times. You will see how the Chemical Corps changed battle fields with their ability to put down smoke. You will learn about the Crossed Retorts and why we are called "Dragon Soldiers". After touring the museum take some time to visit the gift shop and walk across the the street to view some of the equipment used by the Chemical Corps.

What a great museum - not only the Chemical but the MP and Engineer too (all located in the same building/different wings.) You can view all wings and their gift shops in one trip. Easy access off I-44 exit 161. Straight shot down the street right onto Fort Leonard Wood - you will need to get a Visitors' Pass. Probably less than 15 minutes from Highway to Museum. Loved the period music playing within the wing and evolution of each Corp to present day missions. I didn't know gas masks for horses existed. And across the street is a walking path to check out military vehicles. Great side trip if your travelling down I-44.

The three museums are located within the same building and can easily be seen all together. We spent roughly 1 1/2 to 2 hours touring all three after graduation. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the displays and the details. It wasn't what I had expected at all. The information is very informative and enlightening. We spent the most time in the MP and Chemical portion. I think the chemical portion was the most amazing in that it showed so much that we knew little about. Seeing the progression of chemical warfare through different generations was very impressionable. All three are definitely worth a tour!!

We toured this with our son, who is an MP. This is very interesting. We enjoyed seeing all the history of the Chemical Museum and learning about it. Our great nephew is an engineer in the Army.

It clearly shows what horrible tools man has created to inflict devastating harm to others. It shows the very reason why it's use should be banned.

My least favorite of the museums on the fort. That's not to say it was poorly done, just not my cup of tea. I thought the others were better is all.

I really enjoyed the Chemical Corps portion of the Museum as well. I FINALLY made the time to go through it with my kids and we all enjoyed it!

We went without our soldier while we waiting to see him, then took him back once he was with us. It's a great museum to visit! Wonderful information, great staff and fabulous gift shops. Don't miss it!
