Rent a canoe or kayak or tube and float the peaceful South Branch of the Au sable. The livery is located just north of the town's main intersection at the river.

Thank you for your kind review! We're proud of our staff-they work hard to keep all boats and kayaks clean. Additionally, we also sell off older boats and buy new ones at the end of each season in order to keep the fleet in top shape. Yes we do own all aluminum canoes, as they are most durable if the river gets a little low in late summer. Fortunately this is a spring-fed river so there will always be a pleasant flow-no need to portage in the South Branch! We would like to emphasize that you do not need to pay extra to have your car waiting for you at the end of your trip! You simply pay for the trip of your choice and because we "spot your car" you are free to enjoy your float down the river at your own pace. Since we want you to relax and be on your own time, the driver of your vehicle(s) will follow our driver to their chosen take-out point before the trip. Then we'll bring back your driver(s) to Campbell's where you and your group will begin their trip. Relax and enjoy your trip (you are not paying by the hour or for the transport!)

We rented tubes for the approximately 2 hr float. It was a beautiful day and we stretched it out to about 4 hours. The water was relatively shallow -- 1-2 feet it seemed in most spots. The bright green tubes were great quality - we also rented a float for our cooler and other items. We had a 3 yr old with us and she was very content. We left at 11:00 which put us just ahead of many other tubers so that worked out great. We will definitely do this trip again next year!

Me and my wife had a great time on our two hour voyage down the Ausable River we even seen a fawn. The folks a Campbell,s were great with their service and the equipment was new.

All the Canoe Liveries around town are good, but Campbell's adds a special touch.. Can get busy as at edge of town.

What a great place with wonderful people. Really great river with interesting sights. Great for families. We recommend it highly.
