We cross country skied through the vineyards and when we finished we stopped by Tandem Cider. For a small tasting area it was packed, but the server spotted us and served us immediately. Then two small busload of people came and luckily they had a back room. I am not necessarily a Cider fan, but I have to say their ciders are terrific. The experience is worth the travel up the Lelenau Peninsula. Perfect after skiing!

We hit 7-8 places on our wine tasting tour, and this was one of my favorites. After sampling a variety of wine elsewhere, it was a nice change of pace to try some hard cider. The serving area here is small and cozy, and the staff were extremely helpful, allowing us to sample several of the different ciders. My favorite was a draft cider called "Sunny Day." We were able to purchase a big, brown jug of it to take home.

We stopped in on a Saturday early in the afternoon and even though they were busy we got very quick service. Our favorite cider on tap for the day was Smackintosh and we picked up a Howler to take home. Looks like it would be a fun place to spend some time outside with cider in warmer months.

Stumbled upon this place while out on the peninsula visiting wineries. They have a great variety of apple ciders, some blended ciders (apple + cherry, apple + honey) as well as pear ciders. The staff was knowledgeable, welcoming, and engaging. It was a great to actually talk to someone who didn't seem like you were bothering them by trying to have a conversation! My friends and I left with several bottles of cider. We all agreed that the "Pomona" was incredibly tasty. Nearly everyone bought a bottle. Also, make sure to try the homemade ginger ale!I'll definitely be stopping again when we head out to Leelanau!

No kidding it's the best and the staff is just all smiles. If you find yourself in Leelanau County, it's a can't miss.

It was shear good luck that we found the Tandem Cider house, or we were guided by some higher power. it is well worth slowing down and finding this delightful place with delicious ciders. We enjoyed tasting all they had to offer in the tap room. We brought home a few to share with friends and a howler as a gift for the dog sitter! It was all such a hit, we are trying to figure out how to get more. The bartender was very informative and relaxed. I felt like we could have sat their all day.

We love hard cider and since there are few cideries, we were excited to find Tandem. Off the trail a little bit, the building is quaint and appealing. Very small tasting room accommodating about ten people. Staff was friendly. Ciders were bland and dry, which seems to be a common trait in the area I guess since other wineries have a similar tastes for their ciders. We bought nothing here.

I must've tasted something different than the other reviewers. The variety of ciders offered were hard to choke down. When the last glass tasted exactly like vinegar, we decided to leave our nearly full glasses and walk out. The joke for the rest of the day was anything we deemed gross we referred to it as tandem.

Stopped in here over a weekend as we were touring the wineries in the area. This was the first time I stopped in, and although it is small, and because of the ornery weather (rain and cold), it was crowded inside. The staff however, just comes around and passes small glasses out, then comes back around and pours the various ciders for people to taste. No fee for tasting, and both my friend and I left with a bottle we purchased. Tasty stuff!

On a sunny, breezy late summer day, this was a perfect spot to relax, taste a variety of hard ciders, and people watch. The shop offers more than a dozen hard ciders and blends, some bottled and some on tap. Outdoor tables and benches in the midst of apple orchard country provide a suitable ambience for an afternoon of tasting and the opportunity to see the wide variety of locals and tourists who visit this out-of-the-way establishment. The very limited food offerings are tasty and a good match for the ciders.

My daughter suggested we stop here when we were visiting Traverse City. It was off the beaten path, nothing else around, but it was easy to locate with GPS. They have a small tasting room when you enter and pour a number of different types of ciders for you to test. We purchased the Smackintosh and the Pomona Dessert Wine (if you like Brandy). We did not taste the soda but plan on doing that when we return to this area again.

They have a ton of hard ciders to try. They are very good ciders. Not quite great but worth a stop. Nice atmosphere but the employees are a little slow.

This little cider house offers a large array of different ciders. Taste some or all. The draft ciders can be tasted at no charge and the others can be sampled for a very reasonable charge. Staff is efficient, helpful and very customer focused. Bring or buy a growler to take a draft cider home or buy by the bottle to save for later. I did both. I am taking some back to Texas to enjoy over the fall. This was our second trip and we hope to return again next year when we visit Michigan. It is a highlight of our annual trip to the area.

Nice summertime stop, refreshing ciders, extremely friendly and outgoing staff...some of the best are Smackintosh, a combination of many varieties of apples and definitely try one of their homemade sodas...the one we got yesterday was Ginger Ale soda, one of the best I have ever had...have a glass, sit outside and enjoy the environment....great place

This was a lovely stop during our wine tasting day. The tasting room is cute and homey and the staff very welcoming. The cider is fantastic! They make a lot of different ciders, so doing a tasting you can really see what they are all like and learn a lot too. Highly recommended!
