i've been to a few. i happen to be a big Orville and Wilbur fan. Thomas Selfridge was the first person in uniform to have been killed in flight. sept 17...1908(ish) This is a neat place. Big too. we went on base for the air show this year. Fantastic. two thumbs up.

Great museum with lots to see. They have 34 planes on display and you can go on 3 of them. They also have an indoor museum with the history of Selfridge, and the aircraft in WWI, WWII, etc Knowledgeable volunteers on staff. Located on the Selfridge Air Base so when you go, make sure you have an ID and all your car information(insurance and registration) because they do check you out. Open Saturday and Sunday April through October. $4.00 per person. No food or drinks on site.
