the blind horse winery

We made an effort to get to our destination early to try this new winery and were so glad we did. They make lovely dry wines, our hostess was knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely patio to relax on.

I was a little skeptical when we drove up to this winery. It appeared to be in the middle of a group of homes. After we drove in and saw the cute little garden center, not owned by same people, and the restaurant I felt a little relieved. We did a tasting and a food pairing and split it. Overall it was a very pleasant experience! I was disappointed we couldn't stay for the jazz group getting ready to play that evening! Worth the stop!

Having a local winery is fantastic, and this isn't your typical WI winery. When they say Napa they aren't kidding. The place is just beautiful. The one bite food & wine tastings are truly unique. I happen to catch live music outside on the patio which was a real treat. Had to park on the grass the place was so packed.

The Blind Horse Winery is separate from The Blind Horse Restaurant (one building behind the other) and neither are to be missed. The winery offer 19 different wines, made on premises, ranging from fruity and sweet whites to full-bodied, dry reds. Don't expect to find your typical Wisconsin cherry and apple wines here; those are for pies not for wines. Grapes are sourced directly from the west coast. Try their $6 tasting of five different wines and you get to keep the logo glass. Or for a better experience, they offer five wines with food bites perfectly paired for $12.
