Went to this restaurant with a group for a meeting. It would not have been my first choice for dining, as I thought it was "your ordinary brew pub". I was really surprised by the vast and varied menu. Really, something for everyone. The drink menu was also great, with many choices beyond beer. After reviewing the vast menu, chose the Red Snapper, which ended up being mahi mahi. All was delicious. Mahi Mahi with mango salsa and couscous. Started my drinks with the mango margarita, which was delicious, but ended up drinking Moscow Mules-super refreshing. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but service was great. I can't remember our server's name, but she was awesome! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

It was Sunday afternoon so they had a very limited menu available. The waitress wasn't the best. She goofed up our order and did not bring out the appetizers before our food. One in our party has asked for green beans instead of fries and fries came out. Didn't get drink refills until we stopped her and asked for them. Will go here again, but only when full menu is available! !

We were seated promptly at a shaded table on the deck. The place was active, but not so noisy that we couldn't hear each other. Our server was knowledgeable. I had the pils, which was a to the very fresh salad I ordered. But the hit of the meal was the Oatmeal Stout Float.

I enjoy the downtown location very much, and have come to the Fitchburg location a few times when I am with friends on this side of town. I have never had any problems with the service. The only minor complaint I would make is that on Mother's Day, we were informed after being seated and ordering drinks that there was a 1 1/2 hour limit on our reservation. What? I get that its busy on Mother's Day, but I would NEVER ask a party to leave, or put a time limit on a table like that. Certainly if I did, I would inform them before taking their reservation. Anyway, other than that incident, I have never had an issue. The food is just as good here as every other Great Dane.

We had 11 a.m reservations and were hurriedly seated. We ordered a large pretzel appetizer, which turned out to be the best part of the meal. My son-in-law and I both ordered prime rib and eggs. Both meals were beyond bad. In both cases the prime rib was not only cold, but tough and extremely fatty. I realize prime rib is fatty in the first place, but my son-in-law only got about three bites out of his. The rest came home for the dog.Mine was the trifecta... Cold, tough and very fatty. The fruit that came with my meal was actually hot. I think the melons, grapes and strawberries were intended to be cold, but I assume they all sat under the heat lamp too long.We have eaten at the Great Dane before and never had this bad of an experience. Both the food and service are usually ok. Not this time. We were at the Juniper location. The notes several times that they were booked solid. When we left, the larger upstairs dining room only had a few tables seated, more empty than full, as well as the outside dining... Only about half the tables were seated. VERY DISAPPOINTING ! This is one to avoid!

Great little spot with micro brews and pub food. Service was spot on and the food was excellent. This place is huge with banquet rooms, large horseshoe bar and plenty of tables. Too bad it was a business lunch (iced tea not beer) because their home made selection was mouth watering.
