Visits are by appointment, however they are accommodating for schedules. You learn the history of pancake racing and the friendly competition between Liberal, KS and Olney, England. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if you are passing nearby it is well worth the stop to see some history.

Very knowledgeable, informative and very friendly. Look for JoAnn Combs, a font of all that is Pancake Race.Ask about the relationship between Liberal KS and Olney UK and be prepared to be convinced to return on Shrove Tuesday the next year you are available !

This place honors the tradition of over 60 years of friendly international competition between Liberal, KS and Olney, England. They run a race and have an entire weekend filled with pancake themed events leading up to Shrove Tuesday each year. The Hall of Fame has all sorts of memorabilia, videos that show off Liberal being a question on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," a video a gal in Olney made and one of Pancake Day being on an American Food Fesitvals show on the Food Network. There are all sorts of fun pancaked themed things to buy and when I was there recently they had lots of older shirts on sale for $1!The kids I was with had fun finding the Pancake Day buttons from the year they were born and the buttons were free! It's a quick stop off the beaten path. They are open regularly on Saturdays but you can call the number posted anytime to arrange a tour.
