First off, if you decide to have the sugar cream pie, DO NOT LOOK AT THE CALORIE INFO. It's worth it to just enjoy the silky taste. The freezers are full of many flavors. The best deals are the factory seconds. A crust may be broken or the filling uneven, but it has the same great flavor at a fraction of the regular price.

I took a tour of the Mrs. Wicks Pie Factory today. It was very interesting. I was able to purchase several different pies at the restaurant, at very good prices. I was with a tour group of 42 people and our lunch was included with the tour. The food, for us, was OK, but the pie was FABULOUS! I had the chocolate! I was in heaven! I will definitely will go back for more pies!

Husband & I stopped while passing through and each had a sandwich which was ok, but the bun was quite dry and crumbly. We each had a piece of sugar cream pie which was good.

On a spontaneous day trip from Dayton, Ohio, my wife and I ended up in Winchester, Indiana, which was approximately 75 miles away. We explored dining options for lunch and chose Mrs. Wick's Pies & Restaurant. To our good luck, the restaurant was emptying of a busload of Ball State University students as we were entering. We ordered the daily special of a chicken fillet, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, homemade yeast roll and iced tea. This filling meal was only $4.50. But wait, that's not all! We saved room for one of Mrs. Wick's 30 pieces of pie. My wife had the Blue Crumb ($2.30) which was a blueberry pie with a butter crumb crust while I choose the Sugar Cream pie ($2.20). The menu made the claim that the Sugar Cream pie is the State of Indiana's official pie. This gem of a restaurant was clean, popular and the prices were retro 1960's. The service was expectionally good too. When we left to pay our tab, we strolled over to the pie outlet side of the restaurant and selected two "seconds" pies to take with us. Our total bill for this establishment, lunch and take home pies was only $22.39. This place is a winner! www.wickspies.com

Rating the pie iteself, you cannot get a bad pie here. Recently had the blackberry, it is seriously the best blackberry pie I have ever tasted. I have had their apple pie, cherry pie and pumpkin pie, all are equally as good. They have a restaurant that serves food (and pie, of course) that you can buy 2nds for dirt cheap.
