We have been to Flat Rock Playhouse a couple of times while we were vacationing in the area. We are small theatre buffs in our home town so Flat Rock was a natural for us when we are in the Flat Rock, Saluda, Hendersonville area.

The quality of the productions at the Flat Rock Playhouse are amazing. We attended a production of Zelda about F Scott Fitzgerald's wife and were blown away with Sets ( so good for such a small stage) acting and singing. We later attended a production of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Forum. As good as anything We have seen in New York and so up close and personal. This is one of those things that you get in the car and say "Why don't we do this more often" Way to go Flat Rock Playhouse.

The performances are always Top Notch - playhouse is small, which is certainly a plus! Sound system & acoustics are superb, seating comfortable and access is easy. Assistance for both visual & hearing impaired is provided, if needed.

This was our third time to see a play here and we have never been disappointed. They always do a great job and the history of the place just makes it that much better.

First rate facility, top notch actors and atmosphere. Located on the grounds of the home of Carl Sandberg

Visited FRP with a tour group this weekend to see Dickens' Christmas Carol. What we liked:1. The approach to FRP is beautiful--among the trees in the mountainous area around Asheville.2. The performance was EXCEPTIONAL: outstanding acting, singing, directing, and costumes. Very much look forward to the next visit.3. It was freezing and windy outside as we waited for our bus. FRP staff allowed our group of 20 or so to stay in the theater a while after it closed to keep warm.4. The $36 ticket price was more than reasonable for such a stupendous evening of entertainment. What we didn't like:1. Nothing.

a travel destination sure to please. Located within walking distance of the Carl Sandburg home national attraction, and within 3 miles of several of the best restaurants in the greater Asheville/Greenville area. Theatre shows run the gamut of drama, comedy, musicals and feature talented and popular casts. Kids Theatre workshops are a plus

We went to see 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' and it was great. The actors were spot on and interacted with the audience with ad libs..I truly enjoyed the performance and the Playhouse in Flat Rock is charming

Not quite Broadway, but not meant to be. This is great regional theater and is a real cultural diamond that North Carolina should be proud of. This is a chance to see actors that are acting for the sheer joy of theater. The production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" was well done, updated and kept the viewers engaged. If you are in the Asheville area don't miss this.

Saw several shows. Miss Saigon was every bit as good as a broadway play. Already planning to see more shows in 2015 when we return to flat rock.

During our recent visit to North Carolina, my husband and I purchased tickets to hear the music of James Bond. We highly recommend this playhouse as the performances were top notch. They have recently added an open bar serving beer and wine for your enjoyment. The ushers were very friendly and helpful. Since my husband is disabled, we are always looking for handicap friendly facilities and this playhouse is wonderful.

This was my first time seeing a production at Flat Rock Playhouse. I was visiting my mother who lives in Hendersonville, NC. I live in New York City and attend the theatre regularly, so my bar is set pretty high. For a fairly small theatre, this production was on point, tight, and extremely well performed and produced. I was quite impressed and I'm looking forward to see more upcoming works at Flat Rock when I'm in the area.
